They're both breaking in different worlds
She may be the heartbreaker
He may be the heartthrob
But silently they hold their knives to their heart
In hopes for a brand new start
...
Falling out of love
As they begin to wonder
If love was ever good to them
Their constant loud voices
Pinching stomaches
Exhausted sighs
Fake smiles
Cuts beneath their sweaters
Made it seem that it was easier to be dead
Than alive
They were a burden
So they believed that disappearing from here
Would not be only better for them
But better for everyone else
...
Life doesn't slow down for anyone
Even for those who are crippled
And need time
Life will push you forward
Whether you like it or not
So these two broken-hearted mess-ups
Wanted a saviour
Someone to build them back up
Into someone amazing
As time went on, not only were they breaking
They were breaking other people too
And couldn't stop themselves
They believed this was their way of punishment for becoming who they were
Blaming themselves again and again
For inflicting pain
On people who don't deserve it
...
Encounter your true love being the best person you can be
Not the worst
Show them that you've overcame the obstacles
Show them that time does heal you
Show them that though your scars are healed but are still visible
They make you the most beautiful person you've ever seen
Show them that change is possible
Not because you wanted a guardian angel to shower you
With kisses
But because you held your head high into the unknown
And accepted change
To transform you
To someone you'd be proud of
And let yourself be loved
Because you deserve it
...
~they were breaking and breaking apart alone, but they built themselves back up
Met each other with fiery eyes
And cherished each other
As much as they cherished themselves
