I grip onto the podium and yank myself up to a standing position to see teenagers lifting up young children and running out the multiple exits we have placed around the hall.

Xavier's hands grip my waist again and I'm yanked back down roughly.

"What the hell?" I whisper, arching my back around to face him.

"You need to get out of here and to the panic room in the pack house," Xavier says frantically, using his arms to shield my face from the glass scattering everywhere.

"You have a panic room as well as a safety basement?" I ask in disbelief. When did he have the time? There definitely wasn't a panic room when I arrived here.

"I installed it when I met you, now please go!"

I shake my head, "there's no way I'm abandoning my pack while you all risk your lives out there."

Before Xavier can reply I stand up and bolt towards the pack warriors who are already shifting and leaping out the windows and doors.

I hear a furious growl which I already know is Xavier's so I sprint towards the weapons cupboard located at the far corner of the room and grab a bayonet type weapon and bolt out the back door.

I'm shocked when I get outside to only see about 15 wolves, who are barely even the average size of a werewolf, fighting against my pack members and quickly losing.

How did they manage to smash all that glass?

I don't move from my spot because I don't need to, none of my warriors are even being injured at all, the rogue wolves are incredibly weak and are poor fighters.

A flash of red catches my eye behind a tree in the far distance and without thinking I dash towards it, gripping my weapon tighter.

I pick up my speed as I see the red light zooming in and out between trees, almost as if it's playing a game with me. I chase it around until it comes to a complete stop then vanishes into thin air with a little poof sound. This is definitely a witch messing with me.

The crunching of leaves makes me spin around so fast I thought I'd given myself whiplash.

A man with dark brown hair and a lanky figure stands in front of me, a long fringe covering his right eye.

"Who are you? Coming onto the Lunar Moon's land is a death wish you know," I growl out at the mysterious figure.

He laughs maniacally, slapping his knee before quickly coming to a complete silence.

I stare at him harder, gripping onto my bayonet so hard that my knuckles turn white.

"Get off of my land or you'll be sorry," I threaten, stepping closer to him, showing off my weapon.

"And what are you going to do to me? You're just a human now aren't you Elizabeth?" The man taunts, a villainous smirk resting on his bloody lips.

"You're a vampire," I state as I catch notice of his bloody face.

"Hm, did the eye site go along with your wolf too? Or are you just not very observant?"

I snarl at him and lunge forward with the bayonet, aiming it right in the middle of his chest but just as I'm about to plunge the sharp weapon deep into his skin I'm forced back by an extreme force and slammed right into a tree.

I groan as I slide down the bark, my skin scraping off the rough edges as I fall to the dirt.

"Now...let's try this again. I talk, you listen," the vampire hisses.
