I'm flabbergasted by the amount of people commenting on the last chapter things such as "cops aren't actually like that" and "this is so unrealistic, people aren't arrested for underage drinking".

So I wanted to clear something up.

"Underage possession of alcohol is a second degree misdemeanor in Florida and carries the potential punishment of up to sixty days in jail for the first offense."

But that's not all.

"Not only does Florida authorize imprisonment for this criminal offense, but if one is found guilty of Underage Possession of Alcohol, the court is required to revoke one's license for six months. The court also has the authority to increase the suspension to 12 months."

"Fortunately , in some Florida jursidictions prosecutors may allow first time offenders to enter into a diversion program or a deferred prosecution agreement which can result in the dismissal of the underage drinking case."

So I don't know where you guys are getting your facts from, but underage drinking can be a serious crime. And it's completely realistic to be arrested for it. Just because maybe you've encountered a relaxed cop or two doesn't mean they're all like that.
