As soon as we emerged from the Zeta Tubes, Kaldur wrapped his arm around me protectively.

"Kaldur, can you stop being protective for two seconds? I doubt they're going to do anything to physically hurt me."

He rolled his eyes. "I never said I was doing this for your benefit. I simply like being in a position where I can easily protect you."

"I brought them like you asked. Now what do you want with-" Orin cut off as Canary walked over to me and Kaldur.

She took my hands and turned my arms over. She forced my chin up and then did the same with Kaldur, except she unwrapped the bandages around his injuries. She sighed with a relieved smile on her face before backing away.

"As I was saying, what do you want with them? I was planning on keeping them in Poseidonis until they were both sure they were able to return."

"The other's have informed me of the possibility of Aquagirl brainwashing both you and Aqualad."

"I have told them that she has-" Kaldur shut up when Bats glared at him.

"It is possible that she was able to plant false memories among your real ones, creating a way into the Team. And it's just as possible that she fabricated the events that she showed the Team."

My hands curled into fists and Kaldur tightened his grip on me.

"It is not worth it." He mumbled. I ignored him.

"You...you think I would make that up?" I growled, the air growing humid. "You think that I would make up my friends, my family, the people that I would die for. You think that I would make up their deaths?!"

"My king-" Kaldur looked over at Orin. "-I need help."

"Kaldur, let me go!"

"My king!" Kaldur fought against me as best as he could, but he eventually released me.

Unfortunately before I could punch Batman, Orin grabbed me. He wrapped an arm around me and used his other hand to cover my mouth.

"And what does this have to do with the kids?"

"Black Canary will sit with Aquagirl in a cell while Martain Mangunter will search through Kaldur's memories and attempt to discern which are true and which are false."

"Do I get any choice in this matter?" Kaldur asked.

"No. And if Black Canary says it's okay to do so, Miss Martain will do the same with Percy."

I sighed and mumbled against Orin's hand. "You can let me go now."

"You are going to behave right? You're not going to punch, stab, or otherwise maim someone?"

I nodded.

He let go of me and I leaned against Kaldur.

"Why don't they believe me?" I asked.

"Well, it may have to do with the fact you have no visible injuries despite throwing yourself off of a cliff. I have visible wounds so they may not believe you attempted to end your life."

"Come on Percy, this way." Canary led me towards the cells and once inside, she had me sit down.

"I would never hurt Kaldur or Orin. They've done so much for me...and I mean Kaldur's my best friend, Orin's basically my dad and-"

"Percy. Listen, Batman won't let this go until he has no doubt that you aren't a threat."

I sighed. "Listen, if I really wanted to, I could destroy the world. But destroying it would throw all the sacrifices my friends have made away.   Leo, Hazel, Piper, Frank, Jason, Annabeth...I can't let them have died in vain. I mean, I hate myself for letting them die in the first place."

"Survivor's guilt."

I shook my head. "Annabeth's mom once said I would sacrifice the world to protect my friends. And I mean, I went through hell, literally hell, to protect Annabeth. So yeah, some of it's probably survivors guilt, but on some level it's my fatal flaw."

Canary stared at me for a second before getting up and leaving. She came back in with a bottle of water and some pills.

"Sedatives. They'll knock you out. This way your concious mind has no way of affecting your memories." She handed them to me.

I took them without hesitation.

Megan

As soon as Black Canary called me in, I headed towards the cells. I entered the room to see Percy lying on the floor, a jacket bundled up under her head.

"I'm going to enter-"

I was interrupted by the door opening.

"I'm going with you." Wonder Woman said, crossing her arms. "And it's not up for argument. If anything goes wrong, you're going to want done back up."

"Okay." I nodded. "But whatever you do, you can't tell her it's a dream. It would shatter her subconscious mind and it might make any mental problems worse."

A small smile appeared on Wonder Woman's face. "I think we'll be fine. At least Batman listened when I said it might be better for a woman to go into Percy's dream. He would not be the best person for this." She chuckled.

I reached over and grabbed her hand before entering Percy's mind.

We were in a room. There were white walls, a white floor, and a white ceiling. No entrances or exits and no windows.

"How do we get past this?" Wonder Woman asked.

I frowned. "The one time I entered Percy's mind without permission, there were holes in this room. I couldn't see what was going on, but I could manipulate her towards conciousness."

"That means these are her mental barriers. I doubt we'll be able to break past them. So...Knock, Knock." She knocked on the walls.

"I don't think-"

The walls fell away.

I stared in disbelief before looking at Wonder Woman. She smiled.

"Come on, let's hurry up."
