"I'm not saying you can't come," Damon clarified sheepishly. "I'm politely asking that you... don't."

Riley rolled her eyes. "It's crazy that you don't think I can take care of myself." She pulled one of her vervain guns out of its holster and aimed it at him. Quickly, he vamp-ran to her, grabbing her arm and using it to pin her against his body. Then he kissed her neck, all while managing not to spill the three coffees in his other hand.

"Inheriting weapons doesn't make you a vampire hunter," he reminded her, smirking. She pushed him away playfully.

"You're right," she nodded in agreement. "It makes me a very dangerous human."

He looked her up and down, the smirk still on his face. "You got that right." He pushed open the door to Caroline and Bonnie's dorm room. "Good morning, lovebirds!"

Stefan and Caroline groaned, hurrying to cover themselves with the blanket. Riley immediately covered her eyes with her hands.

"Seriously, guys? It's already 9am!"

Caroline raised an eyebrow at her sister. "Says the girl that wouldn't get out of bed before midday if her house was on fire."

"Well, today's different," Riley said, handing Caroline one of the coffees and sitting on the bed opposite them. "Is it OK if we recruit your boyfriend for a tiny mission?"

Stefan looked back and forth between Riley and Damon. "What mission?"

Damon smiled mockingly. "Rise and shine, brother. We are going to interrogate a tall, beautiful Heretic with a terrible attitude."

Caroline, who had been trying to maneuver her way out of bed while keeping the blanket wrapped around her, froze. "Valerie?"

Damon caught the passing glance between them. "Hmm. I'm missing something here."

"Oh, Stefan and Valerie are old flames from way back," Caroline announced, trying not to sound as bitter as she felt.

Damon was confused for a second, but then he realized something, and his mouth dropped open in shock. "Valerie as in 'v-card' Valerie? 'Wham, bam, thank you ma'am' broke your heart and..." he trailed off, catching the look on Riley's face which said 'stop talking'.

Caroline tried not to let her annoyance show, but she couldn't help it. "You know what? I think this would be the perfect opportunity for the two of you to catch up!" She paused meaningfully. "Unless there's a reason it would be uncomfortable for you...?"

"No," Stefan said quickly, ignoring the plethora of reasons why he didn't want to spend the day with his brother, his brother's girlfriend, and the woman that he'd lost his virginity to back when he was still human.

"Great!" Caroline answered passive-aggressively, shutting herself in the bathroom and turning the shower on.

"V-Card Valerie?" Riley asked, looking at the brothers in turn. "You slept with one of your mom's Heretics?" Before Stefan could answer, she held up a hand. "Actually, forget it. I don't want to know."

"Good," Damon responded. "Because we have a Heretic to find."

Thankfully for them, Valerie had stolen Matt's SUV, which meant that it was constantly being tracked due to him being a deputy. Damon parked his car so that it blocked any cars from passing and soon enough, Valerie screeched to a halt in front of them.

She got out of the car immediately, seeing Damon and Riley standing in front of her.

"Would you kindly move your car?" she asked politely, not in the mood to play whatever game they were planning.
