▹ Cheesy lines

"Halsey, I feel like a library card, since I've been totally checking you out!" George bellowed across the room earning a frustrated sigh from his makeup artist since he moved away whilst she was trying to blend in his foundation.

Halsey glanced away from Namjoon and sent an amused smile towards George, who had been throwing pick up lines towards her since she walked through the door. It was their thing, he'd be an over the top flirt and she would simply shut him down — they both loved it, really great content.

"Did you notice that I'm like a best seller? Currently unavailable." She shot him a wink and flicked her hair as she turned back to Namjoon.

George's cute giggle cut through the room, he's the only person in the world that could be so giggly about getting rejected. Of course, he was only kidding with her. As I said, it's their thing.

"Women," He grumbled jokingly earning a slap on the head with a makeup brush from his makeup artist. "Sorry Noona, love you lots!"

She only nodded in response with a fond smile crossing over her features. She was grateful that George seemed to have gotten over his excitement after seeing Halsey and finally settled down, giving the girl an easier time at evening out his face.

When she was done, George remained in the chair with his eyes closed and head rolled back. He was slowly falling asleep. He was drifting away when he felt something poke his ribs, sending him flying into the air for a second before he handed back down in his seat.

He turned to the left, shock plastered all over his features. Halsey giggled from the seat beside him, earning a playful glare from George.

"Excuse me, MISS. I was trying to have a nap if you don't mind," he spoke to her with so much sass, wiggling his finger. Halsey covered her mouth to muffle the giggles that were tumbling out.

"Sorry SIR."

George pushes himself up using the armrests and adjusted his position in his seat, so that he was facing Halsey. The sweet aroma of her perfume sent him into a daze. George had made it vocal on just how good he thought she smelled. Whatever she was wearing, it had George swooning.

Smirking, George rested his chin in the palm of his hand and stared dreamily at the lady beside him. She bit back a giggle, already knowing that she was about to get hit with another pickup line.

"There's something wrong with my eyes. I can't take them off you."

Halsey chuckled. "Oh really? I'm having a problem with mine too. I can't see you getting anywhere with me."

She was beating George at his own game and in all honesty, he wasn't even mad at it. Jungkook, who had been sitting beside George, burst out laughing. He slapped George's shoulder numerous times as he pointed at Halsey.

"She's better than you."

George narrowed his eyes and kicked Jungkook's leg earning a grunt in response. Smirking, George turned back to Halsey. He then grabbed his phone and began viciously tapping on it before glancing back up at the woman before him.

"I just Googled 'gorgeous' and a picture of you came up." He shook his phone in his hand with a wide smile, impressed by the line.

Halsey nodded. "Oh yeah! You'll get the same result if you search, not interested."

Oh she's good, good.

"Do your legs hurt from running through my dreams?" George questioned, throwing on a concerned face as he glanced down at Halsey's legs.

"Nah, they hurt from dodging corny lines like that all night." She blew him a kiss.

George couldn't hold his laugh any longer and clamped a hand over his mouth as if that would stop it. Halsey wrapped an arm around him and rubbed up and down his back soothingly.

"It's okay, George. I'm sure your dreadful pickup lines will work on your fans."

And she wasn't wrong, because there would be many fans who'd die for George to hit them with a pickup line. Too bad though, George had them reserved for Halsey only.

So I know this is a short one and I just wanna say I'm so sorry for the lack of activity regarding updates with all of my books. I have been coping with both mental and physical health issues lately and that's had my attention.

But I've also been writing something that's not published yet so I've been preoccupied.
