the clones were known for approaching with silence until they catch sight of a living, breathing being and that's when they advance with the primal need of murder manifested into their minds.
that was why jimin nor taehyung became conscious of their presences until one of them broke out into a shrill scream, a few feet away from their house.
one clone turned towards jimin who stood by the doorstep with his eyes widened with fear and the clone snapped its head back taking in the sweet smell of jimin's lifeblood. its lifeless eyes dilated as it sprinted in an inhuman manner, his eyes set on the boy by the door.
that's when the others appeared.
one. two. three. and then thousands more. they turned the corner of the street and a few of them had murder in their eyes as they advanced towards the boys, who reacted immediately by slamming the door close.
but jimin let a cry as one creature gripped his leg, causing the blood to ooze out instantly and the creature's screams increased in sound at the sight of it.
taehyung panicked and the door opened slightly and it took the opportunity as it pulled at jimin's body, now ripping his trousers as jimin cried out in immense pain.
taehyung held onto jimin's hands trying to pull him inside without unsealing the door any more. with his back pressed against the door, his hands gripping the younger's, helpless grunts escaping his lips, his mind appeared devoid of any sense of comprehension of what was happening at the moment.
with one last tug, he managed to pull jimin inside and with one swift move he managed to close the door, yet the clones who had gathered by the door were stronger.
and in a matter of seconds, the door was brought down and a group of vicious creatures had invaded the house.
taehyung immediately hoisted jimin up with great difficulty as he scrambled to reach their bedroom on the other side of the house, yet he failed as one reached out and grabbed jimin's limp figure causing taehyung to stumble back as he stood motionless watching the scene unfold.
one word escaped jimin's lips in a hushed whisper, "run."
the clone twisted its head and its sharp canines met with jimin's neck and a splatter of blood exploded from jimin's now lifeless body. The rising and falling of his chest stopped.
his hopeless struggle against the captivator stopped.
taehyung fell to the ground as the creatures began to devour jimin's body as if they had been starving for ages. taehyung's breaths came out as pants, and sirens went off in his ears. static flashed before his eyes as his heart clenched with an unbearable amount of agony.
he forced himself to move his limbs as he rushed to the bathroom which was at arm's length, his legs gave out once again as his knees collapsed.
he sat with his back pressed against the door, his palms over his ears and he wept.
