"What are you doing to me Mark?" You muttered, throwing your phone on your bed, your smile radiating wider. "Stop it Areum." You slapped your cheek, trying to shake off the jittery side of you.

"Nice car Mork." At the sound of your voice his head tilted upwards and a look of shock spread on his features.
"Did you just call me...Mork?" He scoffed in disbelief, he stopped twirling the car keys around his finger and stood up straighter. You suppressed a smile, yet a hint of it was threatening to bloom on your lips. "Maybe." You teased, making your way to the passengers side.
"You seem happy." He noted, sitting in the drivers seat. "Mhm." "Any special occasion?" He asked, glancing at the necklace around your neck and smiling slightly. "Hmm, well I'm going to be hanging out with my friends."
"Ah yeah the dreamies are really fun." He started the car, looking in his mirrors. "I meant you too."
"But you said- wait. Friends?"
"I meaaan only if you want to be my friend." You replied cheekily.
Mark jokingly sighed. "Only if I have to."

"I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T STOP IM GOING TO CHUCK YOU INTO THE WATER!" you shouted at Renjun and Donghyuck who kept winking at you then nodding over to Mark.
However, Mark was conversing with Chenle to even notice. Donghyuck stuck his tongue out then placed his hands on his hips. "And what?"
"Hey Areum, don't worry I'll make sure he doesn't tell anyone." Jeno whispered, placing a hand on your shoulder. You smiled gratefully at Jeno, placing a hand over his in gratitude. "Thank you Jen."
Little did you know, Mark was watching every move.
"They seem friendly." He said, not looking away from the two talking. "Are you bothered by it?" Renjun asked, sitting next to him. "No."
Renjun observed his friend for a mere few seconds then sighed. "Make an effort with her."
"What?" Mark averted his eyes from you and to Renjun. "You need someone other than the gang, she's good for you."
Mark shook his head. "It's dangerous for her."
Jaemin scoffed. "Mark, you have changed ever since you met her, don't you realise? And even if it is dangerous you know you wouldn't hesitate to save her."
Mark didn't answer, he only replayed those words again and again.
Whilst that happened, you and Jeno were sitting along the shoreline, back to the rest. "Do you think Mark is dangerous?" "No." You answered almost immediately. "Why not?" He asked, sprinkling a handful of sand over the water. "I just know he isnt, and I just want to get to know him better."
"Then do it."
You groaned in frustrating, running a hand through your hair. "It feels one sided, I don't want a one sided friendship, there isn't any point."
"He'll come around Areum, it takes him a while to open up."
"I can wait, but how long can I before it's useless."
