"Ma!" Kemoni yelled while she walked over to me as I leaned over looking at Birthday cards. Today was Brysons 3rd Birthday so while we were on the way to Chuck E. Cheese, I had to stop and pick him out a card to go with the gift we brought him
When Kemoni realized that I wasn't paying her any attention she started calling me repeatedly, walking closer to me. I looked over at her with a straight face
"What bro?"
"Hmm" she handed me a Minnie Mouse toy and started to walk off but I grabbed her arm pulling her back
"And where do you think you going?"
She started smiling and Kentrell walked around the corner with Nasir
"You still ain't done yet?"
"No. I'm tryina find one I like"
"The nigga only turning 3. Ion even know why you getting a card. He can't read"
"Well unlike gifts, cards can last for a lifetime. And besides I like getting cards"
"Cause you weird" Kentrell responded and I looked at him some type of way before looking at the cards again
"And fix yo shirt" he referred to the tank top I wore "gotcho titties hangin out"
"Well they can't help but to" I frowned while pulling up on the tank top
"Bout to make yo ass put on a sweater"
"In May? Shut up Kentrell"
"Ain no damn shut up. Noel I'll fuck you up in this store"
"Daaa!" Kemoni yelled while she grabbed a card and gave it to Kentrell. He shook his head and put it back. When I saw that it was a graduation card I burst out laughing and looked at him while picking up a card I liked
"Your daughter tryina tell you something"
"She ain tryina tell me shit"
"Mhhh. We gone discuss that later" I responded while I handed him the card and the Minnie Mouse toy Kemoni gave me. He looked at the toy confused
"What this fa?"
I pointed at Kemoni who was still playing with the cards
"Your Angel child that can never do no wrong. Now go ahead and pay for that before she pick up something else"
I pushed Kentrell off and once Kemoni saw him walking she ran after him
"NO!"
" come on" he held his hand out and she reached up for him to grab her
"No! You grown as hell. You can walk"
Kemoni started to wear a sad look on her face and Nasir just looked down at her in Kentrell's arms.
"Here" he handed her the toy and and grabbed it then he reached down and picked her up, now holding both of them and I rolled my eyes
"You are ridiculous"
"You mad cause I ain holdin' you too?"
"Watch wishing the next few years you gone regret spoiling her like you do"
"Shut up" he responded while walking off and Kemoni laid her head on his shoulder. As we headed off of the isle and to the register I heard my name being called which caused me to turn around
When I saw Brea standing there I just looked at her. Kentrell turned around to look as well and smacked his lips
"Mane come on"
