Paityn woke up leaning up slowly to her phone ringing. She grabbed it answering groggily.
"Burkhardt." She said.
"Hey, Pait," Nick said. Paityn sighed getting out of bed.
"Where's the body?" She asked getting dressed. She took off her pajama shirt and put on her back t-shirt with her brown leather jacket over it. She managed to carefully get into her black jeans and her new black combat boots. She put on her holster for her gun, taser, and handcuffs.
"Just meet us at the station, we're leaving the scene." He said. She sighed finishing up.
"I'll see you soon." She said hanging up. She went downstairs and fed Lyra petting her back gently. She purred a bit and Paityn grabbed her keys going to the car. Her house took weeks to fully clean. By the time she was done, she was mostly recovered. Of course, her leg was healing still. Her wrist was sore but didn't need the cast nor the brace anymore.
She drove to a Sonic store nearby wanting at least something in her system. As she pulled up in the drive-through she smiled a bit decided to surprise Nick, Hank, Wu, and Sean a bit. She ordered herself a Strawberry shake, Nick and Hank the Hot Fudge shake, Wu the Chocolate shake, and Sean the Strawberry shake as well. She got them paying for them and driving to work. She called Nick not able to get them all out.
"Hey, I got some of us some shakes and there is no way I can carry 5 of them." She said. Nick laughed.
"You got us shakes?" Nick asked.
"I sure did. Now get your butt down here and help me." She said hanging up grabbing her's and Sean's attempting to grab the third one when Nick came down and grabbed the other 3.
"Well, you came quite fast." She said. He laughed. "You and Hank get the hot fudge. Which you have. Wu gets the Chocolate one." She said. Nick followed her up to the office and Nick handed Hank his shake and Wu his. Paityn knocked on Sean's door. He motioned for her to come in. She gently handed him the strawberry shake. "I got a few of us a shake. I got you the Strawberry one." She said smiling.
Sean took the shake and smiled a bit kissing her head softly making Paityn hum a bit.
"Thank you Paityn." He said. She smiled a bit watching him take a sip of the shake and she smiled like a dork heading back out to Hank and Nick.
"So what do we got?" Paityn asked.
"Leonard Lewis Drake, age 30, was found earlier today in a garbage truck. His last known address was 841 southeast Long street, apartment 201. He has a couple of assaults, a D.U.I., and three domestic violence charges." Hank said.
"Sound's like the unfortunately common bully." Paityn sighed.
"That address is on the trash truck's route," Nick said.
"Time for a little dumpster diving," Hank said standing up. Paityn sighed sipping her shake as she followed them out to head to this dumpster.

"Got some blood in here," Nick yelled out. Paityn was beside Nick flashing her flashlight into the dumpster.
"Time to bring in the team I guess." Paityn sighed.
"More blood over here," Nick said following the trail as Hank dialed the station.
"Need forensics along the 800 block of Long Street," Hank said walking backward. "Looks like he was dragged along the sidewalk after he was killed." Hank pointed to it. Paityn shined her flashlight into the gate nearby.
