My second store in Baton Rouge was finally close to being done and life felt like it couldn't get any better right now. I've been up all morning going to a doctors appointment and now I was busy at the store seeing how things were going.
After my appointment Kd and I went over to Noel's place and it was just her and Kemoni so of course when I was about to leave, Kemoni cried to go with me so she came
"That!" She yelled with a smile while she walked over to a picture that was sitting against the wall then looked at me
"Girl that picture bout bigger than you"
"No"
"Yeah"
"My juice?" She immediately switched up, throwing her hand up and I shrugged
"What happened to your juice? I thought you had it" I told her then looked around to see where Kd went. He was actually walking back inside drinking from a kool-aid pouch
"Kelldrick..."
"What?" He casually asked and I sighed
"Why you drinking Kemoni juice?"
He looked down at the juice and then over at her laughing
"You want the rest of it?"
"No!" Kemoni yelled and walked off to the other side of the store, sitting in the corner. I looked at Kd and shook my head
"Why would you do my niece like that?"
"She'll be alright"
"She gone tell her daddy on you"
"Fuck Yb" Kd muttered and I made a face while snickering then looked at Kemoni again. She was still in the corner with her knees to her chest and she had her hands covering her eyes like she was crying
"Look at what you did! You okay Moni?" I asked her as I walked over to where she was and Kd shook his head
"I'm sorry. You wanna new juice?"
Kemoni looked up at Kd and nodded
"Ight then. Come on witcho big ass head"
Kemoni smiled and scrambled to get up, grabbing his hand
"Come on" she told him as she pulled his hand and walked to the door. I shifted all of my weight on my left leg and placed my right hand on my hip
"And where you think you going?"
"My juice" she responded
All I could do was laugh and rubbed my stomach while following them out of the store. Once I locked up I headed to the car where Kd was busy fastening Kemoni in her car seat
"I'm hungry as shit" I groaned while Kd closed the back door and got into the driver's seat
"Whatchu wanna eat?"
"I don't know. Something with chicken"
Kd continued to look at me and I threw my hand up "What?"
"Why did you make it more complicated than it had to be?" I cut him off and he shrugged
"Cause you gave a basic ass answer"
I mugged him as my phone started to ring. It was Kentrell calling so I rolled my eyes and sighed, already knowing that he was about to be on some shit
"Hello" I answered
"The hell y'all at with my baby?"
"Well hello to you too. I'm great, your niece is great"
"I ain ask that" he responded then the phone switched to an incoming FaceTime call. I groaned and answered the call. As soon as his face popped in the screen I laughed at his facial expression
"Where my baby at? KEMONII"
"You doing too much" Noel muttered in the background. I reached my camera to the back so he could see Kemoni
"Say hey daddy"
She smiled at the phone and waved "my daddy"
"Tell yo auntie to bring yo ass HOME!"
Kemoni looked at me then reached forward, grabbing my phone then sat back running her mouth to Kentrell so I just turned around and looked at Kd as he drove
"So you gone get my food?"
"What food?"
I smacked my lips and he started laughing which I didn't like. I crossed my arms over my stomach
"You always think shit funny don't you?"
"Yeah" he nodded and I huffed. "Chill out crybaby. You want chic fil a?"
"Yeah. And I want macaroni with my nuggets instead of French fries"
"Macaroni?" He questioned me and I nodded while looking out the window
"Yeah. Don't question me"
Kd muttered something under his breath and I looked back at Kemoni who was steady smiling at the phone while Kentrell continued to talk shit
"Booboo you want some chic fil a?"
"Yeah" she responded with a smile and Kentrell started up again
"Y'all better feed my baby. I should report y'all asses for kidnapping"
"How we gone kidnap somebody if they momma gave them to us?" Kd asked
"Y'all know Noel slow as fuck. Y'all the last two mufuckas I'd let watch Kemoni cause y'all just as slow as her"
"Shut up Kentrell! I know how to take care of my niece" I told him while I grabbed my phone from Kemoni and looked in the camera
"Forreal. He act like he the only person that know how to take care of that child" Noel mumbled as she rocked Nasir and Kentrell slapped her upside the head
"You shut up. You on punishment"
Noel laughed and put her face in the camera "I hope y'all take all day with her. He acting like he can't live without her"
"Obviously I cant cause I leave her witchu and come back to see you handed her off to two of the dumbest people in the world. Other than Ben and Jamie"
"Well fuck you then" I replied to Kentrell, highly offended
"Just bring me my baby back"
"Moni you wanna go home?" I asked her. Before she could respond I looked at the camera again "she said no. You'll see her when you see her. BYE" and with that I hung up
"Yb gone kill you" Kd laughed and I shrugged
"He'll be alright. Now come on and get this food so we can take this child back to her daddy before he have a heart attack"
