Paityn was at home studying more of the files. She knew Sean said he would help her, but she didn't know when so she would have to do most of it herself. She pinned up a few pictures of him on her board that was hanging on her wall. Liam had done so much stuff Paityn was surprised he was able to even walk into the police building without someone recognizing him.

He had murdered at least 15 people, was charged with theft, and it wasn't the first time he assaulted a police officer. Paityn sighed as she got a phone call.

"Burkhardt." She said.

"Hey, Pait. I need you to take over for me at work for a bit." Nick said.

"Nick, I don't know how that's going to work." She said.

"I know I know I'm sorry. Something came up and I can't work for a bit. You can do it right?" He asked. Paityn sighed.

"Yeah, sure. Just know I'm kicking your ass when you get back." She said.

"Thank you, sis. And I don't mean for the ass-kicking. Love you." He said.

"Love you too." She said hanging up. She sighed grabbing her jacket and putting it on. Paityn gently pat Lyra's head and smiled gently. "Be a good girl Lyra." She quickly walked out going to her car getting in. She began her drive to work when her phone rang again.

"Burkhardt." She said.

"We got a body," Wu said.

~~~
"Hey." Wu said as Paityn and Hank walked over."White male. Late teens. Looks like something pecked out his eyes." Wu said.
"Any I.D.?" Paityn asked.
"Nothing on him except for this," Wu said putting his palm out exposing a bunch of shells. " It was in his pockets." Wu finished.
"Puka shell necklace. I haven't seen one of those since I was in Waikiki on my first honeymoon." Hank said.
"This kid looks like he went about 50 rounds with Mike Tyson," Paityn said.
"Yeah, the fall from the rocks didn't do him any favors," Hank said. Paityn looked over at the waterfall and shivered.
"And the bruising looks postmortem," Paityn said.
"Yeah, he probably died before he fell," Hank said looking around.
"White fluid in his nostrils and around the edge of his mouth would suggest drowning," Wu said.
"Looks pretty pale, even for death," Paityn said as she kneeled to get a closer look.
"Yeah, could be the cold water," Hank said. Paityn nodded and then gently moved the kids head with her gloved hand exposing two circular marks on his neck.
"Yeah, or this." She said. Hank tilted his head to be able to see.
"Well, anybody believe in vampires?" Wu asked. Hank smirked a bit and Paityn scoffed.
"Ha-ha." She said looking over to the falls.
~~~

"Well, I can't tell you exactly what his hemoglobin or hematocrit count was before he died, but by my estimate, this kid was cruising on about a fourth of a tank of blood," Harper said.

"So how many pints down is that?" Hank asked.

"Almost 7 plus," Harper said. Paityn winced.

"Well, could he have been a hemophiliac?" Paityn asked.
