Chapter 37: Problems
———
I went to sit with Hermione and Ginny at the Gryffindor table.I'm not feeling my best.
Hermione turned then saw me. "Y/N,"
"Hey," I said quietly. "May I sit here with the two of you?"
"Of course." Ginny said.
I sat down beside Hermione, looking down.
"Are you alright?" Hermione asked.
"Do you guys already have a date?" I asked, avoiding the question.
"Yes." They both replied.
"That's great," I said. "Who are you going with, Hermione?"
She blushed. "Viktor Krum." She whispered.
I gasped. "Vikt-"
"Shh!" Hermione shushed.
I smirked at her. "Lucky lady. How about you, Ginny?" I asked.
"Well, Neville asked me. Who's your date?" Ginny asked.
I frowned. "No one."
"What?" They asked in unison.
"Well- why not?" Hermione asked.
"Didn't Draco asked you?" Ginny asked.
"No," I said. "He asked Pansy."
"Parkinson?!" Ginny exclaimed.
"That pug face? Seriously? He can do better than that!" Hermione said.
"Did someone asked you?" She asked.
"Well...Cedric did," I said.
"That's great! Show Malfoy that he did a huge mistake!" She said.
"It's not just that," I said. "I-I declined his offer."
"Why did you?" Ginny asked.
"To be honest, I thought Draco will ask me, so I lied that I already have a date. Cedric just smiled and said that he can always offer me a dance in the Yule Ball." I explained.
"If it makes you feel better, Harry got rejected by Cho." Hermione said.
Ouch. Poor Harry.
"So you're saying...?" I trailed off.
"You and Harry can go. Together. As friends. Our goal is to make Draco Malfoy jealous. After all, his enemy is Harry. Revenge!" Hermione said then grinned.
I never seen this side of Hermione.
It's scary.
