Chiron was having a pretty average day. A few cut off arms here and there, but the week was moving along fine. Frank Sinatra was softly playing in the corner, and he gazed at the framed photos of past demigods on his wall with slight melancholy.
BANG! Travis and Connor Stoll barged into Chiron's office.
Without opening the door first.
Chiron glanced briefly at the door—which was newly fixed for the twelth time—on the ground, then turned his attention to the Stolls.
Chiron sighed, "What do you two n—"
"Prophecy!" Travis blurted, "Rachel!"
"Rachel's saying a prophecy!" Connor waved his arms around to emphathize how serious this was.
"I see," Chiron went in the direction the Stolls were trotting to.
The Oracle of Delphi's hissing voice rang out over the crowd of people, "A dangerous tactic of pretend."
Silence.
Chiron flicked his tail nervously and called out commandingly, "Someone tell me the whole prophecy please."
Annabeth took a breath and recited from memory, "Seven must journey to the wizarding world,
where many secrets be unfurled.
The prideful and the inferior, brave,
the shadows and the lost ones raise.
An impossible task yet ahead,
true intentions left unsaid.
A broken family in need of mend
A dangerous tactic of pretend."
"This calls for a quest," Chiron said gravely.
