The first week of June bought the end of year exams. After dinner and weekends were now spent either studying in the library or in the common room, but despite all her worrying not only did Lina pass she got the highest marks in her year, including potions - which was an absolute miracle.

Life at Hogwarts seemed to fly by after exams and before she knew it she was sitting next to Cedric at the end of year feast, the hall was converted in celebrations for the Slytherin, the walls and ceilings were ornate with the emerald green, and silver snake. Dumbledore stood before the four house tables a beaming smile on his face. "And so we reach the end of another wonderful year and what a year it has been. I hope you've all learned valuable knowledge and are now looking forward to a summer away ready to come back on September first seeking knowledge of your lessons once again. For those of you who are not returning on behalf of me and the rest of the Professors of Hogwarts, we wish you all the best of luck in your future.
Now one last matter before we can begin the end of year feast. The house cup. In fourth place, Gryffindor, with three hundred and thirty points. In third, Ravenclaw, with four hundred points. In second, Hufflepuff, with four hundred and ten. So that means congratulations are in order to Slytherin who earned four hundred and fifty points."

The emerald green table irrupted wither cheers. "They've won every year for like the last six years," Danny said slumping his chin on his hand.

'It's bullshit!" Lucy cried, her voice was drowned out by the noise still coming from the Slytherin table "they only win because Professor Snape-"

"Your boyfriend."

"Fuck of Danny. Because Professor Snape gives Slytherin students points just for breathing correctly."

"At least we came in second" Lina shrugged trying to look for the positives.

Cedric gave Lina a look "you know Luce is right Eve."

"I know but I doubt Professor Snape will ever change, we'll just have to get used to it."

Finally, the cheering died down "congratulations Slytherin on retaining the house cup for the sixth year in a row. Now let us eat!" He clapped his hands together and the hall filled with food.

Sitting in a train compartment, her legs pulled up to her knees, watching the world go by Lina felt bittersweet about going home, of course, she couldn't wait to see her uncle and go home but over the last couple of months, Hogwarts had also become her home and her friends her family. "What's going through that head of yours?" Cedric asked gently kicking her foot with his own.

"It's nothing" Lina replied not changing her gaze.

"Well it's obviously something otherwise you wouldn't be looking so ominous," Lucy said.
