Nandini came out and went and lied down on her bed.

She had her clothes changed.
Must have taken a bath.

I went and half slept back hugging her.

"Isn't my Nandini a strong girl?!" I whispered in her ear.

Her eyes were closed but tears were flowing out of her eyes.

"Man..nik" She said lowly.
Her voice was hardly audible.

"Ye..s baby" I asked and she turned around while I sat properly on bed giving her the space to turn around.

"Ni..la.. Nilay" She said and started coughing.

I immediately went to bring water and thankfully a jug was there.

"Nilay" She said again and coughed more while I was pouring water in glass.

"Wait Nandini" I said as more she was trying to speak more she was coughing.

I rushed towards her and made her sit on the bed and neared the glass of water towards her mouth.

"Nandini have this" I said as she pushed the glass away.

"Baby, please don't do this" I said cupping her cheeks.

"I'll listen to everything you say Nandini but please have this water first" I said nearing the water glass once again.

Luckily,she had it this time.

My heart pained to see her hands with marks on it when she held the glass in her hand.

Nilay,
You're so gone buddy.
So gone.

"Why did he do this?!" Nandini asked in a cracking voice.

I didn't have the answer of this question.

"If he lo..loved me,he co.. could have" She said and I shushed her

"He never loved you Nandini,
Is this what love is?!" I asked pointing at the marks on her body.

"This isn't love,
His ego was hurt that's it" I said holding her hand.

She wrapped her hand around my forearm and kept her head on the shoulder.

She was tired,
Of everything.

She needed rest,
From everything.

"Manik" came a voice from outside,it was dhruv's voice.

Nandini got away from me to let me go.

I got up and opened the door.

"Nilay is here, police caught him" Dhruv said.

Finalllyyyyyyy,you bloody bastard.
You're so gone.

"Tu reh na yahan,mein aata huh niche jaake" I said to Dhruv.

He nodded.

"I want to come" Nandini said already trying to get up.

"Manik abhi aa jayega Nandini chinta mat kar" Dhruv said to Nandini ruffling her hair.

"Nahi,mujhe aana hai Manik.
You said na I'm a strong girl,
I want to deal with this" She said coming towards me.

She wasn't even able to walk properly.

"Why Nandini,
Why do you want to get into all this again" I was saying this when she was coming towards the direction where I was standing.

"Because sometimes its the Princess who kills the dragon and saves the prince" She said.

I smiled and nodded.
Dhruv came and side hugged Nandini.
