36 ~ The Beginning Of The New Beginning

Dom's PoV

I make my way to the first house that I'm viewing, it's not far away from Ella's house. I meet the estate agent outside and head in. The layout is very basic, living room at the front, kitchen to the side of it, 3 bedrooms up stairs and a small bathroom.

We go outside to the garden and see a very run down, bare garden with battered up fences. I couldn't surprise y/n with this, it had to be perfect. "You know, I don't think this is the one" I say walking back inside.

I quickly leave and head to the next house. This was going to be it, I could feel it. As I walk inside I see a much more open plan house, light streaming in through the large patio window revealing a large, well looked after garden.

We continue looking around and it was just perfect for us, it wasn't too big, but wasn't small either. Just perfect for the three of us. "I'll take it!" I announce much to the estate agents surprise.

I finish signing the papers and handing over the money before leaving to go to the shop around the corner to by some balloons and banners.

check in on you. Is y/n
alright? She said she was
going to bed, but it's still
early?

Aww, so cute checking
up on her. She's doing fine.
She's really missing her dad
though, she said she just
needed some time alone.

Her dad? What happened?

He died a few years back.
Didn't handle it well, she's
never really recovered from
it. She was so close with him,
way more than her mum. She
just said to me that she feels
like a part of her died with him.
She gets like this often but
I've never heard her say that
before.

I feel so bad, not being
there. But trust me, this
surprise is gonna be well
worth it. Thanks for looking
after her.

I managed to cheer her up
a bit, it's foolproof. Never fails
to work.

What does?

She's gonna killll me for
telling you this. But whenever
she used to be upset we'd
sit and watch videos of you
from The Squeeze. I didn't
know if it would still work
since, turns out it does.

Ahhh, how fookin'
embarrassing, at least I
know for next time.
Is there anything I could
do tomorrow to remind
her of her dad?

Umm, the pub down the street.
You know the one opposite the
school. The two of them used
to go there all the time. Oh and
sit at the table by the big
window, that one was always
theirs. Goodnight.

I bring the balloons, banners and a congratulations on your new home card inside the house. I sit and blow up all of the pink and white balloons, tying them all and dotting them around the house. Then moving to the banners, I place one above the patio door, one going up the stairs and a few others spread around.

I pull out the card and begin writing,

Y/n,
You don't understand how much I fookin' love you. You never fail to amaze me, take a look around at our new home. Just for us. A place to start this family, with our past left behind.
I love you more than you'll ever know y/n.
P.s. The bedroom's fookin' huge.

I finish up the message, sealing the envelope and resting it on the stairs before leaving the house.

I head back to the hotel for the night, I call the pub that Ella had told me about and make a reservation for tomorrow afternoon, ensuring we get the table by the window.

I struggle to fall asleep, just thinking about all of the surprises I have for y/n tomorrow. I eventually fall asleep before being woken to the sound of my phone alarm.

I'm so nervous for this, but she's gonna be so excited for our new beginning.
