Chapter 21: Missing Jax II

Jax's POV
"Hello, son." he said with a low voice, walking out of the shadows. "Dad?!" I said in surprise. "Get me out, now, please." I said. He just laughed and smirked. "Oh, Jax. I'm tired of you letting me down like you usually do. We were so close in taking over the world until you betrayed me for the Chosen One!" he said. "Desdemona was double-crossing us, E was being selfish, and Emma was innocent. She had nothing to do with this." I defended.

"What happened to the rebellious Jax I knew? I... I never raised you up to betray evil. Now I'll have to wait for another 20 years for another Fool Moon to rise. Now to my point: Since my plans reserved for you to do are now taken down, I found another plan targeted on the Chosen One." he said."W... What plan?" I asked. "Oh, why on earth will I tell you? You're not on my side any longer." he stated. "Not on your side? What are you talking about?" I asked. "You're dating the Chosen One now, I'm assuming you're part of her side." he said. I looked around, finding a way to escape.

"Now, I'll give you one last question, are you on my side or the Chosen One's side? If I succeed in my plan while you're at my side, I might as well share my power and glory with you. But if I succeed while you're at the opposing side, you'll suffer with the rest of your friends gaining nothing it return. So what do you say?" He said.

This is a hard decision, who will I choose?

Luke's POV
*at the swim meet*

Me, Andi, and Emma found Coach Julio with Daniel. "Hi Coach!" Andi said. "Hi Andi?" he said. "Jax can't attend the swim meet because he's... uhm... sick. My brother Luke will take his place for him." Emma said. I waved at him. He looked at Daniel and said, "What do you say?".

Emma's POV
"That'll be better than Jax. Come on, Luke." Daniel murmured. He led him to the locker room. I'm getting annoyed by the new Daniel. The old Daniel was much better than this. What happened to him?

*after the race*

Luke was swimming pretty faster than Daniel. The Sharks were impressed but Daniel seemed jealous. He walked away and won't attend the afterparty at The Seven. I tried talking to him but he won't budge. I asked Andi to talk to him for me.

Andi's POV
Emma begged me to talk to Daniel for him, I said okay.

I found Daniel at the Janitor's Closet before we headed to The Seven. "What do you want now?" He furiously asked. "I'm just here to talk to you about your new attitude. Tell me what's up." I said, making air quotes when I said new attitude. "Look, Andi. Get out, I don't even wanna talk about it." he said. "Spill it, Miller. I know you're up to something." I said. He tried to get out but I casted a spell to lock the door temporarily. "How the heck did you become a witch?!" He said. "Long story. Now, you won't get out of here until you tell me what you're up to. Don't make me cast a truth spell on your because I... I don't even know how." I demanded.

"*sighs* Fine. Eversince Jax came to Iridium this year, he slowly takes everything from me. My swim team ranking, my heartthrob reputation, and lastly, Emma. Here I am, trying to be like him. So far, no progress earned." he said.

"That's your plan all along? You know, instead of improving your rep, you're wrecking your rep. Nearly everyone is annoyed by your new behavior, even Emma. She liked the old you better than this version." I said. "I don't understand. If she doesn't like this behaviour, how did she like Jax?" he asked. "*sighs* Jax isn't always a bad guy. He also has a good and caring side. Since in the first place, you hate him, you start being blinded by his bad side. Stop being so deranged about this and step out of your phase. Emma liked the old you better even if she's kind of under the influence of Jax." I said. I patted his back and went out of the closet like nothing happened in there.

I stopped walking and sighed. I still can't believe Daniel acted like Jax just to impress Emma. I can't believe Daniel is the one who is jealous of Jax and not Jax being the one to envy Daniel.

Just after a second of thinking, a heard a loud thud back in the Janitor's Closet. I went back there and saw Daniel tied up being dragged away into a secret room.
