Chapter 13: Repost

Ryzen POV

As soon as his speech ended, I went backstage to go visit him. That's my main purpose, anyway.

Like what I expected, there's already lots of people talking to him. Some people were giving me weird gazes too, probably wondering why I was there when I wasn't even a part of their team.

I gulped down and gathered my confidence to make it through the crowd. Finally, I spotted him.

"Hi, Lennox!" I said loudly.

I saw him stop talking to the person he's speaking to and turned to me. Some other people too started looking at me as well.

Ah, that's right, I forgot that I was quite well-known as Senator Costales' granddaughter. I actually saw familiar faces too like Melissa and Paolo Almonte, who are both veteran celebrities. From the looks of it, they volunteered to campaign for Lennox.

"I'm Millen Yu, remember? I was listening to your campaign today and you were so good. I feel that you'll win!" I said in a cheerful voice.

"Yes, of course I remember. Thank you for stopping by." he said in a polite tone.

I got out my phone and showed him the pictures that I have taken earlier.

"See... I even took photos. Do you mind if I post them on my Instagram?" I asked, trying to make the conversation a little longer.

Lennox leaned a little bit towards me so our shoulders rubbed a bit as he tried to look at the photos in my phone. Even though I'm already tall as Millen Yu, he was still towering over me.

"Hmm... these are really good photos. Can you please tag me as well?" he murmured.

Since he was quite close to me, I could not help but be in awe of his deep, manly voice. It makes one's heart skip a beat.

"Of course! Sure!" I hastily replied.

When he finally moved away from me, I finally feel relieved for no reason. I guess, it's because there's something about him that makes you feel a little intimidated.

After he talked to me, another person talked to him straight away... and it's like they're never-ending cycle. I never found a chance after that.

But at least, he saw me and even acknowledged me, right? Small steps at a time! Sooner or later, I'll finally get him to fall hard for me.

While travelling on the way home, I posted the photos I took straight away and tagged Lennox. It got likes and comments instantly. Surprisingly, most of the comments were positive.

citizenlod: Wow, even Millen Yu is supporting Lennox Zevallos as a mayor. This is really a wake-up call for everyone in La Coron.

randomgirl326: I'm so happy that you choose to speak up, Millen. You have lots of followers now and Lennox will get even more exposure. I hope he wins.

Based from what I see on social media, Lennox is already a favourite among millennial voters. But then again, there's still the common people to consider.

I got busy reading through the comments when a notification popped up suddenly, making my phone vibrate.

'lennoxzevallos posted a photo.'
'lennoxzevallos tagged you in a post.'
'lennoxzevallos mentioned you in a comment.'

In a haste, I clicked the notification and saw that Lennox actually reposted the photos that I took and even tagged me in it. He even did a small mention.

Although it was just a small mention, it was enough to make me smile.

Somehow, I am excited to get to know this man even more.

Maybe, there would be a day where I would understand why Millen Yu's absurd goal revolves around him.
