My Truth (Part I)

3rd person POV

"I still want the divorce" Taehyung look to Jungkook and upon hearing that, Jungkook stops breathing. With that determination look in Taehyung eyes, he is genuinely terrified.

"I just told you that you misunderstood" almost like a whisper, a plead, an honest request. An appeal.

"And i told you thats not the problem for me. If you were listening the first time you would know" Taehyung says, coldly still. Unaffected by the plead. And by the first time Taehyung meant when they fought.

The thing with Taehyung is his insecurity and lack of confidence in himself and Jungkook's secret didnt help to make it go away. It fueled them even more. Now that he knew, he is unsure what to feel. Angry? Sad? Hurt? Betrayed? Yeah. All of them. It was all mixed up and jumbled up. He is feeling all the negative emotions and it does not bode well for Jungkook. One wrong word, one mistake, that could be the end for them. Thats how Taehyung feel right now and if Jungkook really want to patch things up between them, he really needs to be careful and think carefully with what he'll say or do next.

Jungkook gives him the confusion look, like he has no idea what Taehyung is talking about.

Taehyung is tired to explain his insecurity one by one to Jungkook so he just went straight to the point.

"You and Lisa look good together" Taehyung said.

Jungkook is not sure what to say to that. This is a trap question. No matter if he say 'no' or if he say 'yes', both answer would be wrong.

So what is the right answer here?

"Not as good as you with me" Jungkook answered. He thought that that would be the best answer yet. And that was exactly the answer that Taehyung is looking for. Not because it was sweet and sounds right. In fact, that, is the wrong answer. Taehyung scoff.

"Despite us looking good together, you never bring me to an event like this. Why is that?" Taehyung said and give him an 'unbelievable' smirk. Jungkook now fall to his trap, and Jungkook realise it too late.

"Because you hated an event like this" Jungkook answered. Its not exactly a lie, its the truth. Taehyung hates going to a party or any sort of event like this.

"Even though i hated it, i still come tonight because Omma asked me too. And if you would just ask, i would have come with you" Taehyung answered. He is testing Jungkook at this moment.

Jungkook can feel where this is going but until Taehyung say it out loud, he can only guess.

"Maybe you never invite me to an event like this is because you're ashamed that you married a guy and you didn't want the world to know" Taehyung said to Jungkook. He knew he is not being fair right now, because when he and Jungkook got married before, it was mostly Taehyung's idea to keep it lowkey. But at the state of his heart being broken, his mind is in a mess and his emotion being jumbled up, who the fuck cares about playing fair, right?

"Maybe, you regret marrying me" Taehyung added in a serious voice. His eyes piercing Jungkook, who seems astonished and surprise.

"Thats why you're always with her. Because it would look natural." Taehyung didn't realize, but he's repeating what Arisa had just said to him just a few minutes ago. He hates her with all of his gut because, she is right. As much as Taehyung hate it, what she said, is right. There is always that possibility, and now he is testing that theory.

"Dont tell me you actually believed that" Jungkook says.

"I dont know what to believe in anymore kook." Taehyung answered.
