warnings: cursing, more cursing, fluff, jackson being considerate, i don't really know what to put for warnings since it's not much, and enjoy 😙

"So, you wanna count how many calls he's ignored?" Kia teased.

"Shut up."

You were currently sulking. It's been two whole weeks since Jackson stopped talking to you and distanced himself from you. You missed him. You missed his phone calls, you missed his jokes, you missed how much he cared,

You missed Jackson Wang.

Every time you tried to wave or mouth a 'hi' to him at school he'd just ignore you. Not even a nod. It hurt you. At first, all you cared was telling him the truth. Just thinking on how much you didn't want to lose him as a friend through dishonesty.

But now you lost him as a friend because you "played him". It made you reflect and realize. This time off made you come to terms with your feelings. Jackson didn't just connect to you as a friend, you also now had a crush on him. A big one.

And just because you guys weren't on good terms, your feelings weren't decreasing.

"Can you guys just clear this up already? You walk around as if he ran over your cat." Kia scoffed.

"It's not that easy, Key. Jackson still doesn't want to talk and I respect that. He asked for space so I'm giving him space."

"Well, I talked to his friends yesterday-"

"You what?!" You exclaimed.

"Calm down, calm down. Let me finish. Anyway, I talked to them and they said he misses you just as much-"

"So, why won't he talk to me?"

"Now, you shut up, ___." Kia hushed you. You slid down in your living room chair.

"Okay. They said he just doesn't know what to do. He doubts you feel the same- which you obviously do. But, that's not the point. He doesn't want to have a friendship where there's a "one sided love" they say."

"But-" Before you could speak on this topic, Kia was already interjecting.

"And now that you know for sure you like him all you have to do is go up to him and tell him i like you too."

"It's not that easy-"

"Does everything have to be fucking complicated for you? Damn. stop being a pussy and just go up to him while he's at his locker and tell him straight. And if you don't, I will." Kia smirked.

"I hope you know I hate you but I love you so much, Kia"

"I've gotten that a lot."

"Target acquired. He's on your- what is that? Seven-"

You scoffed and shoved Kia from in front of you. "Why are you talking like that? And it's five, dumb ass."

"Whatever. Go in now." Kia pushed you away from your locker and towards the opposite side of the hallway. You huffed and dodged fellow students in the hallway. Hesitantly walking towards the one who had caused you oh so much confusion.

"Jackson," You mustered up the quietest whisper, so quiet that you could barely hear it.

But it still caught his attention. Jackson only glanced at you for a split second before attending back to his locker. "I thought we agreed on space," He uttered.

You rolled your eyes at that. Jackson allegedly missed you but he's still keeping up the whole space thing. This was your turn to be blunt. You were tired of being brushed off and ignored. You understood the delivery on your part wasn't the best on those bleachers and the whole situation was sort of your fault but you wanted it to be over.

You wanted to be with Jackson Wang.

"You know what, fuck space. I have something to say and I hope you're listening because it's quite literally a way to solve this whole predicament." You deadpanned. That caught his attention once more.

Jackson sighed and closed his locker. Swinging his bookbag over his shoulder before leaning onto the now closed locker door. "And what is that?"

"I know it's a bit late but.. I like you, Jackson. I noticed I always have but I just wasn't ready to commit with it being senior year and everything. I wanted to focus but it was quite literally impossible with you being around me and on my mind.

and I'm sorry for kinda sorta leading you on. I swear it wasnt my intention. I hope we can blow past this."

You held out your hand, "Friends?"

Jackson stared at your hand. A look that you couldn't decipher adorning his face. He sighed and pushed your hand away from him. Well, that kind of hurt.

"Why would we be friends if we both obviously have feelings for each other? I thought you were in honors for a reason, ___."

A breath of relief left from your throat. But the heat of bashfulness was soon to clog up your mouth with jumbled words and potential sentences.

"I forgive you, ___. I had for a while but I didn't want a friendship with a-"

"One-sided love." You two voiced in unison.

"I understand but now we both are on the same page." You pursed your lips. Hiding a big, giddy smile.

"So, where do we go from this page?" Jackson boosted himself off of his locker.

"Does a date sound good to you?" You suggested.

"It does-"

"Can you two just kiss already?" Kia showed up from behind you. You bowed your head in sheer embarrassment.

"You guys are good though, right? Like- you're dating?" She nudged you.

"Yea," Jackson nodded. Swinging his arm around your waist to pull you into him. "We're good right?" He glanced down to you.

"Yea."
