Hope you enjoy this update, which took me like three hours to type up.

The very next day he was dangling from a helicopter several thousand feet above Manhattan because he had been trailing a crime boss.

The other men had bailed, apparently having parachutes.

So he was stuck in a spiraling helicopter.

With said helicopter falling at massive speeds.

You know, he couldn't think of what he was supposed to be doing.

That may have been the blow to the head, but he couldn't be sure.

He couldn't be sure of anything, really.

Maybe he should call someone?

Maybe that was a good idea.

Just then, a perky ringtone came through, along with Karen's automated voice. "Peter, your father is calling."

"Answer!" He gasped for breath, scrambling to pull himself back into the cockpit.

"Kid? Why did I get an alert that your - well, pretty much everything skyrocketed? Where are you?"

"Uh..." For the life of him, he couldn't think of the answer. "Up? Blue."

"Karen, what's he talking about?"

"Peter's in a helicopter falling from several thousand feet above Manhattan."

"What the- Peter? Answer me! I'm on my way!"

"Mm? Oh. 'Kay."

"Karen? Is he concussed?"

"Yes."

"I'm on my way, Pete."

The city was growing.

Huh.

Wait.

It wasn't supposed to do that.

Was it?

Probably not.

He should probably stop the helicopter.

It would blow up or something.

Not good.

"Hey... Karen? If I shot webs and stuck them to the buildings and then the helicopter, would it stop us?"

"Yes. You need to do it sooner rather than later."

"Great. That means... moving, right? My head hurts."

"Yes Peter. You need to do it now. Your father will not be here in time."

"Fun times."

Heaving himself up, and promptly falling again, due to spinning helicopter, he pulled himself to the opening where wind was howling past.

"Great."

Preparing himself for  something to dislocate, at least, he aimed his hand at the buildings flying past.

He only managed to attach three cords before he felt the sudden jolt of an abrupt stop, and they were dangling just above the lower buildings.

Along with the pop, and debilitating pain of a shoulder out of place.

His world whited out for several seconds, and he dropped like a stone.

Right out the open side of the helicopter.

Everything below was frozen.

People, cars, everything.

Right before he hit, he was suddenly airborne.

Turning over slightly, he sighed in relief as the familiar red-and-gold helmet came into view.

Cold metal rubbed against his skin, and wind whistled past his face as he was lifted again.

"Oh... hi." He laughed quietly, sounding slightly hysterical to his own ears. "That was wild."

"You think?" The relief/worry in his dad's voice was clear, even through the helmet. "Jeez. Take about twenty years off my life, why don't you?"

"M'kay."

"Pete. Stay awake."

"No."

That was the last thing he remembered before he gave up consciousness.

"He should be waking up any minute."

"Nice first impression, huh?"

"Shut it."

"Pete?"

"Time to wake up now."

The world came back to him in flashes.

The familiar dark eyes of Tony.

The blonde hair of a stranger.

The long dark hair of the doctor.

The antiseptic smell in the air.

The bright white of the hospital room.

"There he is."

Squinting, Peter rolled over slowly. "Mm. Too bright."

"Turn the lights down, Harley."

Harley?

"Whozzat?"

Tony laughed quietly. "If you'd open your eyes, I'd introduce you."

"Pfft. Too tired."

"Go back to sleep, then. I'll introduce you two in a bit."

The second time was more abrupt.

He launched himself out of the bed, stumbling into a body, who promptly pushed him back down onto the bed.

"Whoa- no, don't- jeez. Warn a guy next time?"

Peter blinked sluggishly at the boy in front of him. "Who-?"

"Hi." The blonde stuck his hand out, grin wide and friendly. "Harley Keener."
