- Gentlemen -

'Gentlemen,' I held my hands out to placate them, but their moustaches wriggled, their frowns deepened. 'Let's be civil here.'

Fillin was being anything but civil with his pocket knife held to my back. One of the officers brought his hand to his scabbard.

I took one step back. Fillin’s knife pressed deeper. 'Now, Fillin, I can explain.' My naked parts caught a glimmer of moonlight, and Tisha squealed in the bed. The darn woman had no sense!

Fillin’s angry knife drew blood.

‘I never touched her,’ I lied then turned and winked at her.

Tisha giggled and winked back.
