After a month of being in the NICU, Elena was finally able to bring Kennedi home
Since nobody was really able to see her since she was born, we all came to welcome her home
I sat on the chair holding Kennedi while she quietly slept, admiring how pretty she was
"She still so tiny"
"I know..." Lena agreed with me, looking at Kennedi as well. She pushed up her glasses "I'm just glad all that food I was eating didn't affect her cause I was greedy as shit"
"Yeah. You was" Kd joined the conversation while he walked into the living room. I rolled my eyes and so did Elena. She then got quiet for a second before speaking up
"I'm so in love with this child already"
"They can do that to you. Until they get older and act like this" I pointed over at Kemoni. She was busy bothering Nasir, who was minding his business crawling on the floor
"Mamas you see your cousin"
Kemoni stopped tapping Nasir and looked back at me before standing up and walked over to me. She looked in kennedi's face before pointing to herself
"My baby?"
"No. This Titi's baby" I nodded over at Elena and Kemoni frowned
"I wanna baby"
"Girl you got one right there on the floor. Bye" I pushed her softly over to where she was and she walked off. Elena laughed while the door opened and Kentrell walked in.
"Daaa!" Kemoni ran over to him and tapped his leg before pointing where we were
"What?"
"I wanna baby"
"The hell?" Kentrell rose his eyebrow, looking over at me
"Ion got shit to do with that"
"Why you actin like that Kentrell?" Elena asked him "I thought you wanted another baby"
"Not nomore. Kemoni ended that baby fever"
"Damn" she laughed. Kentrell picked Kemoni up and walked over to where Nasir was. When he saw Kentrell he smiled and crawled up his leg
"No siir" Kemoni fussed but Kentrell still bent down to pick him up, now holding the both of them
Kennedi moved around in my arms, scratching at her face but couldn't because she wore mitts. The minute she let out a yawn and opened her eyes, I smiled
"Hey aunties baby. I wish Kemoni was this little all over again"
"I ain lyin" Kentrell agreed while looking at her and she smiled
