𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞. It was still in effect. Mollie felt as if she was rushing everywhere. Going home to get a swimming costume seemed more exhausting than talking to Hawkins' hugest jerk.

Luckily for her, Hawkins was a small town. One you could travel around easy. Especially mid-day when everyone was doing everything at all different place all at once.

The lido for the afternoon was packed with parents sunbathing; children splashing and shouting; teens doing all three of the above; and the one that Mollie wanted to see were the lifeguards (specifically Billy).

Mollie had taken Steve's self-proclaimed not-so-good advice and had decided to replace Steve with Billy for stage one. It probably required more safety measures than the Harrington, but the most dangerous weapon that was in the house with a literal child was a safety pin.

It was no axe, but that safety pin could probably burst Billy's eardrum if you were to use it aggressively. Still Mollie didn't think she was going to need that of sorts.

Strolling down to find a deck chair, Mollie tried at all costs to avoid her mother and sister. Though that was probably not going to be hard – seeing as her mom was too invested in her gossipy middle-aged mom group, and her sister was having the time of her life with said mom's children.

Passing by Heather as she went for her break, Mollie found a seat and sat down. Unaware of what was about to happen before her eyes.

That being Billy Hargrove walking out with such a confidence it made anyone who was even remotely interested swoon. Looking towards the group of adult moms, Mollie almost gagged as she watched them gawk over the teen.

Blowing his whistle, the Hargrove made Mollie jump as she shouted so loud, he caused the crowed to quieten, "Hey, lard-ass! No running on my watch! I gotta warn you again, and you're banned for life. You wanna be banned for life, lard-ass? Didn't think so."

Blowing his whistle again the crowd went on with their everyday conversations. Billy, himself, continued his way over to his post – eyeing up the ones who were clearly interested in him, flirting with the others.

Walking past the middle Wheeler, Billy (just like Steve) did a double take. Stopping in his tracks in front of her, he pulled down his sunglasses taking a better look at the girl. "Well, well, well. What are you doing here, Wheeler?"

"I just wanna talk to you, Billy." Mollie said in a monotone voice, not even looking up from her spot.

"You freaks aren't ones to be trusted you know that, right?" Mollie cringed at that word freak. She despised the word freak. It wasn't what she was, and it wasn't what she wanted to be. Not giving her the chance to talk back, Billy noticed her sudden uncomfort and continued, "I mean what would you truly want from me? A date, sex, a cultic sacrifice."
