"Niccolò, I know you've had strange behavioral changes in recent months. Impulsive, insolent, excluded. You seemed to have a hard time in Las Encinas."

The first day without their mother at home.

She honestly couldn't believe she'd done that. Nevertheless she couldn't help but to be relieved.
So she couldn't help but smile slightly as she enjoyed her breakfast alongside their father and Niccolò.

Conversely, the latter always seemed angry as he barely touched his coffee.

A fact that had the gift of alerting their father as he gave a look between his two children in suspicion."So you don't mind that your mother has left home?"

"Don't." Niccolò whispered, pausing abruptly before suddenly getting up from his chair in frustration."I don't need to hear that kind of bullshit in the morning."

"Niccolò. Niccolò, come back right now!" Salvaro called after his difficult son before giving a sigh as he turned to his strangely silent daughter."What's happening to your brother lately?' Alba just shrugged her shoulders in indifference. "Okay. I see. And you ? How does it make you feel that your mother is gone?"

"I don't know. You?" Alba replied at once, giving a discreet look at her father in uncertainty.

Salvaro let out a laugh in response to his daughter's temperament before resting his glass of orange juice."Martika is the woman who gave me two beautiful children. Even if they sometimes give me headaches."

Alba let out a laugh before creasing her lips as she slowly lost her smile."Why forgive her? After all she does."

"Well... when you choose to forgive those who havehurt you, you take away their power." said Salvaro wisely with a careful look at his daughter."Do you understand what I mean?"

Alba nodded in thought. "Yeah. Yeah I think I understood."

"I'm sorry for forcing you to play this masquerade. I thought you needed your mother." Salvaro finally apologized sincerely.

This left Alba totally speechless as she stared at her lunch bitterly before raising her eyes to her father as she placed her spoon on the table."We needed her."

With that, she got up from her chair asking to be excused to go to high school before filing a chaste kiss on the cheek of her father on the way out.

Only she was scarcely halfway that she was salvaged by Salvaro again, glancing over her shoulders."I received a notification from the bank the other day. You made a withdrawal of 400,000 euros. Just at the same time that you mother got a loft."

Alba's eyes widened in panic as she froze with her back to her father before swallowing to control the tone of her voice."Yeah. I ... uh thought it would be better for everyone."
