"You remember everything I taught you?"

"Yes, Levi."

"You know his physical weak points?"

"Yes, Levi."

"You know-"

"Levi." I looked at him as I got ready for my first date with Eren. Even though he won't admit it, Levi was really nervous and a bit sad I think. "I'll be okay." I smiled.

"I just want to make sure." He mumbled. I chuckled and grabbed my stuff. "If anything happens, just call me."

"I will." I gave him a small hug and headed for the door where Eren was waiting. He's probably been waiting for a few minutes while Levi was asking me all his questions.

"Hey." I smiled at him. He was dressed semi-casually in khakis and a button-up, long-sleeve shirt.

"Hey, cutie." He kissed my cheek. "Ready to go?" I nodded and he stopped to look behind me. He nervously gulped and nodded. I turned around to see Levi quickly transition into an all-too-innocent face.

"Have fun." He said. I hesitantly nodded and we walked out to Eren's car.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see." He winked. We drove for about 15 minutes until we came to a family diner. He opened the door for me and we found a booth. After we ordered, he made small talk. "So how's your grandma doing?" He asked.

"She's doing alright." I shrugged. "The doctor said she may be able to come to our house for Christmas."

"That's great." He nodded. "What about Thanksgiving? Do you and Levi have anything planned?"

"I'm not sure." I said. "He said something about his uncle."

"Kenny..." Eren groaned. I looked at him in confusion and he explained. "I've met him before. He... He's a character."

"Oh." I chuckled. "So what do you plan to do after high school next year?"

"Don't tell him, but I would really like to work for your dad's company one day." He said, slightly shocking me. "I want to help protect people from the gangs around here, especially the Titans. You've heard of them, right?"

"They're the worst of them all." I nodded. The Titans have been around for as long as I can remember. They rarely strike but when they do, it's awful.

We eventually finished eating and went downtown for ice cream. "It's a little cold for ice cream, don't ya think?" I nudged him as we walked hand-in-hand.

"Huh? Oh, yeah!" His eyes widened. "We can throw it away! Or, go do something else! Or-!"

"It's fine, Eren." I chuckled. He sighed and we kept walking around. The stores were starting to decorate for thanksgiving in a couple weeks. Next month it'd be Christmas. Time's really passing fast.

"You know, your dad really surprised me when he gave me his permission." Eren said.

"Me too." I agreed. "But he's a good guy. I'm really lucky to have him in my life."

"Have you, ya know, called him anything but Levi yet?" Eren asked softly.

"Not yet." I shook my head. "I want to, but I just can't right now. It's only been about four months. That's... a big step."

"I understand." He said. "Mikasa was pretty nervous when we first adopted her."

"But Mikasa's so chill." I laughed at my stoic but strong friend. I could definitely see how her and Levi were related.

"Not when it comes to me." He chuckled. "She can act like my mom sometimes."

"At least she cares about you." I shrugged. "I would give anything to see my brother again." I looked down at my melting ice cream. It's been four years now...

"Hey, it's okay." Eren wiped a lone tear from my eye away that escaped without my noticing. "Let's go ahead and head home, yeah? It's getting pretty cold."

"Yeah." I nodded and we walked back to his car. The ride home was peaceful as the radio played softly in the background.

"I'll see you Monday I guess." Eren walked me to the front door.

"Yeah, I'll see you then." We exchanged a warm hug and reluctantly parted. I watched him drive off before heading inside. There I immediately found Levi staring intently at the door. He seemed to snap out of it and stood up.

"How'd it go?" He asked. Did he hurt you? Where'd he touch you? If he-"

"Levi." I cut him off once again. "I'm fine. Everything went great. There's no reason to be so worried."

"Sorry..." He faintly blushed. "I've just never been in this situation before." He scratched the back of his head. I sighed before pecking his cheek.

"I'm all okay, Levi." I smiled.

"I know." He ruffled my hair with a small smile of his own. "And now that you're home safe and sound, I'm going to bed."

"Yeah, me too." I yawned.

Yeah..

Home.
