Chapter 49: Over

I went back to my room, feeling nervous to face Draco.

He's there, sitting on his bed with his head on his hands.

I attempted to close the door quietly, but it let out that little 'creakkk' sound.

"And you said you aren't helping Potter." Draco started.

I didn't reply, nor make eye contact with him.

"Why, Y/N?" He asked.

It's clear that he's really angry.

"I did it for our protection," I said. "What will happen if HE comes back? We must know the spells and-"

I was interrupted by him punching a wall.

"WAKE UP, Y/N! THE DARK LORD IS NOT COMING BACK! POTTER IS JUST TRYING TO GET IT TO YOUR HEAD!" He yelled.

"VOLDEMORT IS BACK! Why can't you just believe me?!" I yelled back.

"Potter thinks he can fool you into thinking that the Dark Lord killed that Diggory boy, but it's really him who did it to win!" Draco said.

"You're lying! Harry will never do such thing!"

He scoffed then rolled his eyes. "Yeah. Keep defending that Potter."

"I'm not defending him! I'm stating the fact that Harry didn't do anything wrong, and Voldemort is back!" I said.

"You know what else is a fact?" He asked then removed the Slytherin ring I gave him. "The other fact is that our friendship is now over."
He threw the ring on the floor then stepped on it, crushing it.

Tears started to well up in my eyes, but I quickly hold them back.

"Fine," I said then opened the door, preparing to leave. "Don't come running back to me when you finally believe everything I said. After all, we're not friends anymore." I said then left Draco all alone.

I lost my parents,

I lost Cedric,

And now I lost my fiancé.
