"Oh my god put your tongue back in ya damn mouth lil girl" I fussed while Kennedi just sat there in ma's arms with the biggest smile on her face and her tongue sticking out
"Leave her alone. She a happy baby"
"Mhhhhh" Nasir sat on the floor making noises while he played with some toy ma brought him
"Whatchu down there talkin bout?"
He looked over at me with a mug on his face but it turned into a smile and he started beating on the toy
"My booga getting big. I can't believe he'll be one next month. Lookin just like his daddy"
"All he need is his ears pierced and he'll look just like him"
"I doubt that happen" ma said as she shook her head and fixed Kennedi's bib "Noel more protective over him than she was with Kemoni"
"Cause he a lil mommas boy"
"If I would've had a son he would've been a mommas boy too. But no. Y'all daddy only produce girls"
"Why you ain't just adopt a boy? Or try for one"
"Cause two kids was enough for me. I did cry when I found out Noel was a girl though. Matter of fact I cried the last 3 months of being pregnant with her because that how bad I wanted a boy cause I just knew she was gonna be another dana"
"Dana was that bad when she was little?"
Ma nodded and I laughed
"Yeah up until the first grade. Then she started behaving and then her senior year of high school she was back to her younger self again"
"Wow" I laughed "did Noel know that?"
"No. But she used to get mad when I laughed every time she told me about Kentrell's little ex girlfriends calling her Noah at school. Little did she know that's what I was gonna name her if she was a boy"
"You are terrible" I started cracking up and Nasir looked over at us and started yelling
"Boy Whatchu gone do?"
He slammed his hands down on the toy again and ma's phone vibrated twice. She used her free hand to grab it and smiled as she read a text message
"You must be texting Derek"
"Of course. He got back from Ohio and he's on the way here"
"What he doing out there?" I asked with my face frowned up a little
"His niece lives out there and she wanted a change in environment so she's moving out here"
