"Honey. What are you doing?" Vanessa's father was still very against me and still completely shocked into submission. He was sat on the back of the couch, looking at the ground until that moment.

"You." Vanessa's mother looked up into my eyes. So far I felt like she could see what remnants of a soul I had left. "She loves you, genuinely." Is this bitch insane? Isn't she also supposed to be completely against me? She literally pulled me into the apartment with them all. A few chuckles sounded out when everyone saw Vanessa literally chases her tail. She was trying to grab it but ending up spinning in circles like a dog would.

"You're literally chasing your tail." I teased with a huge smile on my face. It was cute and I'm not completely heartless.

"How do I change back?" Part of me didn't want her to. I kinda liked the look of her this way. It definitely seemed fun. I forgot to pay attention again, watching Vanessa interact with mostly her mother and friend. She was listening intently to what they were saying. She even turned back into a human, more blood rushing to her veins. I kept myself in control. Finally, my eyes met her father's and I could see his mouth opening. I placed my hand on his shoulder to help soothe him that I meant no harm.

"I'm never going to hurt her. Never have, never will." The man looked at me tentatively. It felt like we were competing with our eyes and I had a feeling I was winning.

"I'll trust you." His hand landed on my shoulder, a friendly exchange. "But if you ever do hurt her, I'll be right there with a wooden stake to drive it through your heart." I almost scoffed at him, thinking I'd let myself live even two seconds after I'd done anything to Vanessa. She was way too important to me now. Way too important.

"I'd have one of my own." My voice sounded deep and serious. Probably the most serious I've ever been in my entire life.

"I don't believe you there. But anyway, I'm uncomfortable and wish to leave. Dear?" Vanessa's father turned to his wife who was still smiling at her daughter, sending her a quick wink before the two disappeared through the front door.

"That. Was. Insane!" Cathy squealed excitedly. She sounded like Jade had previously when she realised she was right about the legend.

"I agree!" The two girls clapped whilst bouncing up and down on their feet. I rolled my eyes at them as Vanessa casually pushed them to the front door.

"Go home and watch a movie or something." She said with a little cute laugh. "Because you both have to calm yourselves."
