The Wasp

~ 2 ~

Lili looked up and grinned. She nuzzled into Scott, after an hour of laying together. Lili touched Scott's hand,  she smiled. " Will it always just be me and you? " Scott grinned back at her, while softly digging into her shoulder, " I hope not. I mean... kids haven't always been the cards, for me. Especially, after that battle.- " Scott put his chin up,  " Lili... " He spoke, concernedly looking at her, knowing the battle was a hard topic for her, she lost her Father there.  " Lili... Lili... - " He threw her hands around her, and smiled, hearing her softened tears.

" I miss Dad...- mo...re... then... anything... else...- " Lili spoke softly, between tears. " I know you do, Bili... I know you do... " Scott said, assuring her softly. Behind them, the door swang open. " What is going on here? " spoke a familiar voice, Lili turned her head, and there was Steve Rogers, a man of steel, allegedly, broken soldier other said, but to Lili. She was the closest thing, she had to Tony. Even if all they did was argue, the majority of the time. " Oh, Steve... " Scott spoke, keeping a tight hold of Lili. 

" Lili misses Tony again. - " Lili looked up at Steve, and he smiled back. " Poor girl, deprived of her Father at such a young age. " Lili just looked down, nudging into Scott's shoulder. " I'm 39- " Lili said, sharply, and softly. " I know, sweetheart I know. " Steve glanced up at Scott and smiled. " Hey Scott, I forgot to tell you.  Carol needed you for something downstairs, maybe I could try turning her frown upside down. " Scott nodded, " You can try, Steve. - It won't be easy. " Steve let out a little chuckle, " Nothing... is ever easy these days. - " Steve paused in his breath for a moment, " Are they, Lang? " Scott shook his head. " Never, ever... "

Scott got up, and walked towards the elevator, as Lili refused to let go of him. " Don't go... Don't go... please- " Scott looked at Lili, with a loving glare. " I love you, but Steve wants to speak to you. " Lili looked over at Steve, and back to Scott. " Alright, fine...- but, only because I love you. " Scott nodded and kissed her. " Good girl. " Lili let go of him, slowly and walked back over to Steve.

There was a short silence between Lili and Steve, until Lili finally sat back down on the chair, opposite Steve. Steve glanced Lili in her blue eyes, that sparkled a lot as Doctor Strange's did. Steve finally spoke up. " Listen, Lili... we have a problem, and I know after the battle, I told you no more surprises... but this is an exception. "  Lili looked over at Steve, with an obscured look.  " Steve, I thought we were done with all this, I thought we ended the fight.- " Steve shook his head, with a chuckle. "Lili, it's just begun.- "

Lili wiped her eyes, from her tears, and looked clearly at Steve. " What... What...'s happened this time, that we need to go back to the Avengers for? " Lili got up and glanced into Steve's eyes.  " Yellowjacket. " Steve said, jumping up from the chair he was sitting on and went straight up to her. " Yellowjacket, and The Ghost... are planning.... an act of revenge, for Thanos. It was planned before he died... but...it's happening, and you... and Scott are the only two who know what we are dealing with...- "

Lili glared up at Scott and breathed in. "An act of revenge for Thanos...?  You say. " Scott glared up, nodding. " I don't know... how we are going to deal with it... but, they already have two of stones, the soul and time... one more, and they could bring Thanos, back to life... again, again... again... " Lili glanced over at Steve, with a slight glare. " Steve... we both made promises, that we'd never go back to the war, again. We ended the fight, so we could go home. We are home, and now you want to go back? Steve... please make sense.- "

Steve just sighed, " I never said I wanted to go home, Lili. I only said I wanted Thanos to die, and... yeah...- " Lili glared up, " We both made promises, I cannot risk Scott dying when we are finally happy, living the life we always dreamt off! I'm not going to watch Scott die as Dad did! Because of the same alien, who is trying to take over the world with all the help in the world!! " Lili screamed across the room, without even thinking.

Silence fell. 

Steve sighed, once again and glared Lili in the eyes, while speaking " I understand that, but... if Scott really was number one in your eyes, you'd fight for a better world for him to live in, for your children to live in, and you'd do what was right by him, and that would be... to put the wasp suit back on, and give it another shot. You cannot live a perfect life, Lili... You are a Stark, and a Lang. Neither of those things makes perfect. But... if we can try, and take done Thanos, once again, take and get rid of Yellowjacket, and The Ghost. You are done, forever. I promise you, I know I said that last time... but surprises... they happen quite often around here, don't they?  " 

Lili looked at him and smiled. " I guess you are right, Steve, but... don't tell me we are done, when we aren't done. " Steve softly nodded, " Agreed. So... are you in, for one last roll of the dice? " Lili breathed in, " If it is for Scott, then... it is decidedly so. I'm in, wholeheartedly. " Steve and Lili shook hands,  " It's nice to see you back on my side, Cap. "  Steve nodded, " You too, Wasp, no hard feelings after the Civil War? " Lili rolled her eyes, and smirks. " I'm here with you, right now. Aren't I? " Lili smiled, " Well... It's good to have you, Lili-Bili. "
