"Sometimes." I agreed, nodding at the old vampire trying to teach me. I'm very stubborn so this'll be hard for him.

"Let's put it this way: you can growl when you're a human. That means you're part Lupa sometimes when you're also human." He continued to explain then turned back to Jade and Cathy. "In the event of a battle, you two will be quite important. You'll be Vanessa's right hand. Jade." Jade gave her full attention to him, focusing on his face as he spoke. "You're stronger than Cathy because you're still part of a hunter clan. This means you'll be responsible for the physical attributes of helping Vanessa. For example, if she's outnumbered by a lot, you'll have to join in her fight and help her at least knock out a few vampires. That's where Cathy comes in." Now Cathy looked up at him attentively. Mike has his arm around her protectively but that didn't stop her from stepping forward. "You'll be responsible for the witch aspects. You can teleport and levitate items. One may say that a human is an item therefore you could place Jade in a situation to help Vanessa or, if needs be, remove Vanessa from said situation." Everything seemed to revolve around me and I wasn't the biggest fan. 'To help Vanessa'. Pfft, I'd be fine alone.

"What about us?" Sam asked the old vampire sternly. He wasn't joking around and he certainly wasn't in a good mood. Kat looked guilty about that. Maybe she'd said something.

"You'll all be occupied with other vampires. Of course, there should always be a few of you with the most important of you all; Vanessa." And there it is again. I'm the centre of attention just because I fell in love with a damn vampire who awakened a side of me I didn't know existed. "Colby. I assume you'll want to stick with her?" He nodded and his arm around my waist tightened. Edward turned to the group, his eyes scanning everyone there. "The ones with the muscle: Corey, Elton, Aaron, and Kevin. You guys should work on ploughing through the army instead. But Jake and Mike, you two should assist Colby in protecting Vanessa. Your duty is to make sure she isn't in harms way. If the girls are knocked down, they'll also be your responsibility to return to safety." I looked around the clearing and the trees. Literally anyone could come here. Edward must have read my mind as he nodded. I stepped away from Colby and changed into Strega without having to mumble the word. That'd be weird. My eyes glowed a bright purple as I cast a spell. A tall dome covered us all, going over the clearing and the sky.

"Only the people inside the circle right now will be able to see what's going on." I told everyone else. "Normal people will have to pass by because there's a pull against this place. It's not permanent. We have until it's sunny."

"Thank you, Vanessa." Edward nodded at me then smiled proudly. "Let's begin."
