Sheila

His smile grew so wide, "that can certainly be arranged." Then he looked down the hallway. "Come out Selven, I want to introduce you to my mate."

"Selven? Oh I already—" I started to speak then I saw my friend pop his out from behind one of the quartz columns. I gave him a wave of my hand.

"Hello, your majesty, I heard that you mate has arrived back safely,  I couldn't wait but come down and see. Though I saw you were talking to the King Xion and I didn't want to interrupt." He bumbled on and on. His eyes were on the ground as he bowed. Though he was peeking up from under his brow and gave me a soft wave.

"Stop your bowing." He scoffed, waving his free hand that wasn't wrapped tightly around my waist. "Selven, this is my mate Sheila." He looked down and me as I looked up at him. A gentle smile on both our lips. "Sheila, this is Selven Terasture, my kingdoms Chancellor. He is brighter than your sharpest coin, if I am not around please confide in him. He is one of my loyalist friends." He looked to Selven who had risen his head. He had a shy smile that pushed up his skin-like scales.

"But, your majesty, you are so much brighter than me." He said shyly.

"I doubt that." I laughed when he gave my butt a playful pinch.

"I haven't seen you in a while Selven, how have you been?" I stepped out of my mates grasp and wrapped my hands around my friend.

"Worried about you. Everyone is worried about you." He sighed
with relief, wrapping his arms around me. "You have single handedly rallied the entirety of the dragon army and they haven't even met you." We pulled back and exchanged smiles.

I felt a tug on my waist, pulling me back in the safety of Zaivinth's arms. "Yes." His gruff voice almost in my ear. "Though that was due to help from you." I almost could feel the smile on his lips.

"No, no, I just had to do what I could to get her back again." Shyly looking away to the scenery to our right. "Soldiers signing up for the search was all her doing." He splayed a hand to me, meeting my eyes.

"Well we will be meeting them later tomorrow. Care to come home with us?"

"I'm actually heading there tonight. Now that she is back safely," he smiled at me. "I need to call all the troops back."

"Thank you, Chancellor." Zaivinth nodded his head gratefully.

Selven bowed deeply, "anything for you, your majesty." He stood again. "Now if you would excuse me," he glanced between us. "There are bigger fish to be fried before I leave." We chuckled.

"We will leave you too it. Oh, I want to talk to you again soon. When you get the chance, of course." I said with a smile. I wanted to tell him about my journey, tell him how I've became stronger and more confident.

His smile brightened, "sure, whenever you are free. Goodbye for now." He bowed again before leaving into the hall.

"You've met?" I nodded my head. "When?"

"When we had that fight. I found him on the way back to my room. I was scared at first, now," I looked at where he had left us. "Now I can only see a friend who is too shy to say much." I chuckled, wrapping my arm around Vince's.

Zaivinth chuckled, "it's funny that you say that he is shy." He looked down at me as we walked. "For he is known as the Obsidian Chancellor, nothing gets past him, he is ruthless and gets rid of any threat the second it becomes one."
