Year 7

I should have found it strange when my grandmother first decided to sit me down to have a talk, but I am my grandmother's foolish follower after all. I really thought that it was going to be something interesting, but Grandmother is a strict woman. Even though she's lenient with me at times, that does not mean that she doesn't expect anything from me. It was only after she tested me did she allow me to skip the first year of elementary.

"Ryenne, starting April you will be attending school with your two older cousins in City X. Your parents will be picking you up in a week." The only thing I could do was nod, albeit disappointed. I had not expected her to bring this up, but once she makes a decision, then it can not be refuted. I can only inwardly sigh.

Standing up from my seat, I sullenly walked back to my room and lied myself flat on my bed. I suppose I should've expected this sooner or later. Although I do have my intelligence from my past life, it would be strange if there was no proof to how I learned it all, especially since I was known to only stay in my room that was only filled with my grandmother's cook books.

I sighed again, this time out loud. I took a good look around my room and pursed my lips together.

The walls were stained a tranquil ivory color with a variety of pictures of my family pasted all throughout the room. Although there was not much on the floors, I had my very own desk, my comfy bed, and two bean bag chairs whenever I wanted to sit and draw or write something.

I had many fond memories that I have created in this room. I felt sad to have to leave it behind, but I at least know that it won't be my last time being here. If it was then I'd surely protest so loud that the whole world's attention would be on us.

I stayed like this for a while until it was time for dinner. Let me relish every moment in this house just a bit longer. Just a bit.
