A/N- This imagine is based on the song 'Holy Water' by Freya Ridings. It is a fantastic song and I highly recommend it. I hope you all enjoy it.

"My father hates you," you uttered, pulling your shoes back onto your feet as you sat at the end of his bed. There were multiple reasons why sharing your bed with Jaime had been a regrettable decision, but in all honestly, you couldn't bring yourself to stop.

Jaime snorted slightly, and you quickly glanced back at him, watching as he smirked over at you. "Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of his, either." He shifted, moving forward and pressing a soft kiss to your shoulder. "Will I be seeing you tonight?"

"Depends on whether I can sneak past Arya," you told him softly, twisting your body to kiss him properly. "She's become an awfully good little surveyor since we joined you in the capital, watches my every move in our chambers."

You felt Jaime chuckle into your hair, breathing heavily against your ear. "But you'll try?"

"Of course, I'll try."

Jaime hummed as you pulled away. "Fantastic," he uttered softly, falling backward to rest in the middle of the bed. For a moment, you contemplated forgetting your plans for the day and falling back into bed beside him. But soon your father would be looking for you, and there was not a single place in the Red Keep he would be less happy to find you than right here with Jaime.

"I'll see you soon," you murmured, leaning forward to give him a final kiss before hurrying out of his bed chambers and into the Red Keep, unaware of the eyes following you as you went.

You were sitting in your bed chambers when Arya came flying through the door, bundling through and forcing it shut loudly behind her. You raised an eyebrow at her, watching as she breathed heavily, attempting to talk.

"I saw you," she panted, a smile pulling at her lips when your brow dropped, joining the other as they furrowed together. "I was chasing cats in the Red Keep and I saw you leaving the Queen's brother's chambers."

Your eyes went wide and you quickly got to your feet, gripping Arya's arm in your hand and pulling her away from the door. "Listen to me very carefully," you started through gritted teeth, "you are not to tell anyone that you saw me. Am I understood?"

Arya nodded, a frown so deep on her lips that you would have expected any other child to cry in her position. You quickly released her arm from your hand, running a finger over the red mark you'd left behind. "I'm sorry," she started softly, and you quickly shook your head.

"No, that was an overreaction," you answered quickly, your mouth flapping as you attempted to find words. "But you cannot tell a soul, it would break father's heart." Arya nodded again, watching curiously as you sat on the end of your bed, almost in tears.

"I promise I won't tell."

You glanced at her for only a moment, before returning your eyes to your feet. "Thank you."

You had managed to sneak out of your chambers much easier that night, finding your way through the dark halls of the Red Keep by pure muscle memory. You paused as you reached the door of Jaime's chambers, aware of how much the next few minutes would hurt.

When you finally managed to bring yourself to knock on the door, it opened almost immediately, revealing Jaime's smiling face looking back at you. "You came," he exclaimed, moving aside to let you step inside.

"I told you I would," you answered him softly, your fingers playing with the fabric of your dress, attempting to calm your rapidly beating heart. "I need to tell you something," you added, but you were cut off when his lips met your neck, leaving gentle kisses to your skin.

"Can it wait?" he murmured against you, leaving you breathless for a moment.

"Not really," you managed to choke out, forcing yourself to step out of his touch, and turning to face him properly, your face contorted with worry.

Jaime's eyes surveyed you, running over your furrowed brow and unsmiling lips. "What's going on?"

You took a deep breath and shook your head. "Arya knows," you paused for a moment, watching as Jaime's brows lifted slightly in surprise. "She saw me leaving this morning. I made her promise not to tell."

"Then, what are you so worried about?"

Your brow furrowed slightly, and your tongue darted out to run over your lips. "I'm forcing my little sister to lie for me, do you not see how wrong that is?"

"Tyrion lies for me," Jaime began, and you shook your head.

"Tyrion is a full-grown man. Arya is a child."

Jaime nodded, moving to sit at the foot of his bed, his hand running over the stubble he hadn't quite gotten around to dealing with yet. "So, what do you want to do?"

"If this got out, it would ruin everything for me, Jaime." You continued to watch him as he nodded.  "I can't keep doing this, the risk is too high."

"Okay," he answered, so quietly that you almost didn't hear him. When he glanced back up at you there were tears in his eyes, and you felt any words you had planned catch in your throat. "What if I married you?"

"Jaime-" your warning caught in your throat.

"I mean it," he uttered, "marry me."

You shook your head. "That is a lovely thought, but my father wouldn't allow it," you told him softly, crossing the room and allowing your palm to rest against his cheek. "Your sister would never allow it." Jaime's arms reached out, pulling you towards him and burying his face against your stomach.

"But I love you."

Your heart felt as though it was about ready to split in two, and you pressed your eyes closed for a moment. "I'm sorry," you finally managed to utter, pulling out of Jaime's touch and moving towards the door.

You didn't see Jaime for a week after you had ended your relationship, hadn't intended to see him for much longer. But Jory had told you that your father had requested your presence in his chambers, and so you had gone to him, only to find him sitting with Jaime around a small circular table in the centre of the room.

"You asked for me, Father?"

Lord Stark glanced up at you for a moment, nodding for you to take the seat beside him. "Sir Jaime here was just telling me that he has decided to leave the King's Guard."

"Oh?" you started, finally allowing your attention to drift to the other man. "And why is that?"

"He is to take his place at Casterly Rock, as his father's heir," you father answered for him, but you eyes never left Jaime. "He has asked me for your hand in marriage." You looked up at your father, shocked, and hesitated as you watched him raise an eyebrow at you. "Your sister is not quite the secret keeper you believe her to be."

"Father, I-"

"There is no need to explain." You nodded slightly, your eyes finding your hands, bunched in your skirts. "If you want to marry him, then you may do so."

You managed to glance over at Jaime, shifting on the spot when his eyes found yours, a small smile on his lips. "I do," you answered softly, "I want to marry him."
