I was currently finishing up my second mission, my wounds that I once had were already healed. I breathed a sign of relief now that that scary demon was gone and done. But, it wasn't long till....

"Please head southeast, please head southeast. Hunt the demon that is tormenting the location in the southeast." My crow announced calmly, like she does always.

I groaned. When in the Demon Slayer Corps you never get a break.....!

"Ok, ok. I'll run there now..." I mumbled before dashing off towards the southeast.

"Finally I made it." I muttered as I stared at the house in front of me.

I heard footsteps behind me and I turned to see...

Tanjiro and the yellow-haired dude!

"...Ah Tanjiro you got called here too?" I first asked.

Tanjiro happily nodded and smiled. "Hello (y/n)! I'm glad to see you again, how have you been?" The yellow haired boy seems perplexed seeing the two us converse. Maybe because he senses I'm a demon.

I blushed and nodded. I see Tanjiro once again sniff the air.

"There's a smell of blood in the area...but this smell is...." Tanjiro trailed off, troubled.

"Eh? There's a smell?" The yellow-haired boy questioned.

"This is a smell I never encountered before."

"I can't smell anything at all. But can you hear the sound coming from over there? Seems like we're going to need to work together in the future as well." The yellow-haired boy said. I nodded, even though I have no clue what sound he's hearing.

"Sound?" Tanjiro questioned before his attention shifted onto something else in the forest. I turned to see what he's looking at and I see two scared children.

The yellow haired boy started trembling. "Kids..."

"What's going on with them?" Tanjiro walked towards them, I followed shortly after. "What are you doing here?" Tanjiro questioned.

The kids didn't respond, terrified expressions on their faces.

I smiled softly, momentarily forgetting they couldn't see. "Uhm....it's alright, we won't hurt you." I mumbled softly.

Tanjiro then did something brilliant. He pulled out sparrow from nowhere.

"Tada~ A sparrow in my palm!" Tanjiro smiled as the sparrow chirped and danced around.

I looked at him in awe, he's so good with kids, since the two children seem to calm down afterwards.

"What happened? Is that house over there the home of you two?" Tanjiro asked, reassuringly putting a hand on the young boy's arm.

"Not it's not. It's the home......of the monster." The young boy replied. The boy then further explained the situation on how their brother was taken by the demon in the house.

"So you two followed it all the way here? That's impressive. You guys are strong."  Tanjiro said.

The boy then started crying, saying they followed their brother's blood trail. Tanjiro furrowed his brows.

"Don't worry we'll defeat the monster and rescue your brother." I suddenly said. Tanjiro looked over at me then smiled and nodded. I blushed a little bit at my confident words.
