In July, the Beijing Military Regional Officer's promotional ceremony was held in the military base's small auditorium, presided by the Military Commissioner. The Air-Vice Marshal issued the orders to award the promotion to seven military officers with a commanding certification. Included among them, GuWeiTing was promoted from the Major General rank to Lieutenant General rank, and ZhouLingYun was promoted from the Brigadier General rank to the Major General rank.

Two days after the general officer rank promotional ceremony, the military region also held a promotional ceremony for the military officer ranks.

"BaiLuoYin had been performing phenomenally since enlistment. In February, he shot down an enemy aircraft that went into our airspace, achieving the first-class merit. In March, he rescued a fighter during flight training, achieving the second-class merit. Most recently, he performed magnificently during the flight performance, achieving the third-class merit. During his time as a researcher, he competently performed his duties, diligently studied aviation science and flight technology. Now approved by the State Council, BaiLuoYin is thus promoted from the Major rank to the Colonel rank and from the deputy battalion commander post promoted to the regimental command (group leader) post."

LiuChong also had an outstanding performance, and was promoted from the Lieutenant rank to the Captain rank.

After ZhouLingYun read the order to promote the various ranks, the Beijing Military Region Air Force Commander issued the commanding certification.

BaiLuoYin and several other officers were in high spirits in front of the podium. After receiving the commanding certification, they saluted to all the comrades who attended the ceremony. The audience busted into warm applause.

When BaiLuoYin stepped down the stage, he happened to pass around ZhouLingYun.

With ZhouLingYun's promotion to the higher position, it meant that he would have fewer opportunities to actually lead the troops in training; most of his efforts would be shifted to troop management. Similarly with BaiLuoYin's promotion, it meant that he would also have fewer opportunities to participate in training.

This ultimately meant that the era of BaiLuoYin going to battle (harsh training) in the middle of the night with ZhouLingYun pulling the training alarm is indefinitely over, never to return.

So when BaiLuoYin passed around ZhouLingYun side, he felt that the wind around ZhouLingYun had become comfortable and harmonious.

Just as BaiLuoYin was being a bit pompous (cocky), ZhouLingYun's cold voice sounded faintly in his ear.

"Don't you worry, I will come to find you from time to time."

BaiLuoYin smiled charmingly at ZhouLingYun. Without hesitation, bring it on! Master, I, is no longer afraid of you!

ZhouLingYun's seemingly gloomy face is hidden behind his thick smile. BaiLuoYin was the first to be honed by his hands, not only did he not get defeated, but he is starting to become more and more of an exceptional good soldier. He liked it.

———-

As BaiLuoYin was walking along the barracks, occasionally he'd received a variety of congratulatory praises and admiration from the eyes of many others. However, he still maintained his usual low-key style, laughing it all off. As for deliberately pursuing these praises, he didn't dwell on it at all.

LiuChong was lively chatting with an officer not too far away from BaiLuoYin. When he saw BaiLuoYin coming toward him, he immediately concealed his smile, stood upright and gave a standard salute.

"Hi, Colonel! Hi, regimental commander (group leader)!"

BaiLuoYin's facial expression is deeply hidden, "What the hell are you doing here?"
