Alice and Connor

Part 7!

I yawned stretching my body, what a great sleep I thought, Alice was cuddled right up on my side, I put my hand on her belly to feel the baby, I can't believe this is really happening again. I wish and hope she would understand that I'm not trying to be her enemy, I just want the best for her and my kids. Her eyes started opening, "Hey." She smiled.

"Hey sweetheart, I was thinking you wanna go and get some breakfast?" She stretched. "Yeah, I'd love too. Where though?"

"Wherever you want of course."

"What about that Waffle place downtown by that bar."

"Yeah, let's get ready."

We both took our showers, and got ready. "Hey Connor?"

"Yo." I yelled down the hallway. "Wanna ask your son and his mom to come with us?" I couldn't really believe what I heard. "Suure.. I'll ask."

"Connor?'" Skyler answered.

"Hey. So I was wondering do you and Carter wanna go to breakfast, with Alice and I?" it was silent for a few minutes.

"Yeah. That would be great, Carter will be so happy." I smiled a little, "Same here for real, it would and will make my day."

I could tell she was grinning ear to ear. "So, I'll meet you guys there, the waffle place by that bar" I laughed. "I'm sorry I don't remember the place, I just know it's by that bar." She laughed. 

"I know, exactly where, it's one of Carter favorites. See ya guys there." And she hung up.

"You ready Connor? Are they coming?" her eyes twinkled in excitement. "Yeah, they are going to meet us there. Let's go."

⁸We left the house and was on our way to breakfast, the car ride was kinda quiet until Alice turned to me and started speaking, "Connor?"

"Yeah?"

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for making things hard for you, and being crazy..." I frowned my brow, and grabbed her leg, "Alice no don't ever be sorry, it's okay we all have our problems, I love you just the way you are." I could see her smiling from the corner of my eye.

A few minutes go by, and we arrived to our destination. We sat down at a booth that was empty, I glanced around for a few seconds and my eyes meet a girl, Allison. "Hey, Connor?" She said walking to us. I through my hand up with a little wave, "Weird seeing you again." she giggled. "Uh.. yeah I guess so?" I questioned. "I'll be right back." Alice got up and went to the bathroom.

"So what brings you here Connor?" She winked at me.

I rubbed the back of my neck, "I don't see how that is any of you damn business." Alice came back, "Is everything okay?"

Allison and I shook our heads yes.

I could feel the tension slowly adding up with the three of us. Allison then broke the silence "Yeah, so what drinks can I get you guys?"

"I'll take a coffee and she will have a water." Allison nodded her head and went to get our drinks. "So who's she Connor?" I couldn't look at Alice I ran my hand through my hair, "Ha... You know some girl."

Alice's eyes studied me.

"Okay Coffee for you and a water." I thought for minute..Hmm this girls go two jobs..Good for her.
