I started seeing Charlotte everyday, at first she used to come up to me first then I started to feel comfortable near her and meet up with her.

I considered ourselves close friends. We had our own spot we used to hang out at. It was the first time I have ever made friends because when I was younger no one liked me and when I got older I stopped paying attention to people because I told myself I don't need them.

When me and Charlotte became friends it was different. She was so pretty and smart and she still hung out with me and never judged the way I look or think.

I started falling for her. I know I was shocked myself. I just liked everything about her but I was a bit nervous to tell her how I felt about her because I'm not handsome and she's gorgeous, I don't want her to reject me and that'll ruin our friendship.

I was waiting for her in our spot. Our spot was away from people, it was quiet. We were going to study, so I sat on the grass where we usually sit and started studying a bit, waiting for her.

I heard footsteps from behind me expecting that someone to be Charlotte. I turned around, looking up to see Gabe standing behind me. I stood up facing him then he said crossing his arms over his chest "So this is where you've been the past few months?"

"What do you want?" I asked annoyed at him. "I told you to stay away from Charlotte, why are you always with her?" He asked angrily. "Because I can talk to whoever I want. It doesn't involve you." I answered then rolled my eyes.

"Does she know the type of person you were before she came along? Back then you were scared of everything, and you were a target to everyone. Whoever was bored would hit you. Does she know that? Are you gonna tell her that yourself? Are you gonna embarrass yourself? I know you like her but if you tell her that, do you expect her to like you back? You're a loser. You're ugly." He said then started laughing.

It made my blood boil, I was so mad but I wanted to stay calm. I had to stay calm to show him that I'm confident and don't care about his opinion.

"We'll see about that." I said smiling. He stopped laughing and glared at me before leaving. I sat back down on the grass.

To be honest I was scared to tell her about my feelings towards her. I was gonna tell her when she came but after Gabe said all that it made me change my mind.
