"Schulz, focus." A harsh voice echoes into my ear.

I nod sharply as I sit perched on the rooftop, perfectly poised for my attack. Suddenly I feel my hands buzz again. Looking down, I see them fading in and out as well as shaking from the new power. With a sharp sigh, I wait for the small attack to pass and look out for the signal.

Off into the distance, I see the silent flare explode with a scream in the air. Another set of fireworks sets off behind it and I know it is time to act. With a deep breath, I stand up from my perched position. Then, I step off the tall building without a second thought. I look at my target beneath me and see a small speed boat racing just beneath me. Thankfully, I land on the tail end just in time with my legs crouched and my hand in front of me, guaranteeing a silent entrance.

Unfortunately, there was more men then I thought there would be. But I guess that's what you get when you're trying to murder one of the chairmen of SHIELD.

Slowly slipping my blade out from it's sheath on my thigh, I advance on the first guard. I listen as he quietly talks into the radio I know is imbedded in his sleeve. Once he goes quiet, I cover his mouth with my hand and easily push the knife through his head. With the soft drip of blood oozing onto my wrist, I pull the blade out easily and gently lay his body behind me before doing the same to his counterpart.

Within a matter of a minute, four of his men were down and I had a clear pathway. I take a deep breath and force my hand to become intangible. Then, I stick it through the door into the lower part of the yacht and  reach around for a lock. Once I find it, I make my fingers solid again and unlock the door before pulling my arm fully out. But as I step in, the click of a cocked gun echoes throughout the room and before I know it I'm surrounded.

"Барнс, мне нужна подударка." I whisper softly while raising my hands up slowly.

"So," the chairman says while stepping out of the darkness. "Hydra sent for me did they?"

He has a darker complexion, similar to the one in his photo. An eyepatch covers one eye and he looks at me with a stone cold glare. I reply to him with silence as I count the amount of men he has with him. Two aim guns at me. Two stand on either side of the Director. And one is sitting in the corner with a mysterious item in hand.

"Nothing to say for yourself? Well they trained you right then." he says quite confidently.

"Hydra has different training then Shield's agents. That's why you never get anything done." I say matter of factly.

"Is that so? Then how come your cornered?" The Director says while taking a seat.

"I'm not." I say while lowering my hands. "I wanted you to believe I was."

Without a moment, I grab onto all of the agents necks invisibly, making them choke. They all drop their weapons and the familiar gurgle discomfort comes from them. With a sick smirk, I twist my head the slightest touch to the side and the crack of their necks snapping in two simultaneously echoes throughout the room. The Director's one eye widens with the slightest touch.

"Told you." I say with the same sick smirk. The lightest thud comes from above my head and I know my partner is close by.

"Well? What do you want?" The Director asks.

"It's not what I want, but what Hydra wants. And they want you out of their way."

"I'm sorry, Ms. Stark. But that isn't possible." he says while quickly grabbing a gun and shooting at me.

I hold my arms out in front of me and get ready to try and grab the bullets invisibly. Thankfully, I don't have too. When I open my eyes, a metal arm is protecting me from the bullets, small dents in it where the small projectiles hit. When I step out from behind Barnes' shield, the Director is gone and I knew I had failed.

"Shit!" I scream as my vision gets a bit blurry. Barnes stays silent but lays his human hand on my shoulder.

"They're going to kill me..." I mutter.

"They won't." Barnes says while removing his hand and walking back upstairs. "Come."

With a sharp sigh I follow. While Barnes calls for evac, I use my powers to launch the bodies overboard so that no trace is left of us. As I threw the last body over, the familiar cutting of helicopter blades roars from above us. Barnes gently wraps an arm around my waist and tosses me over to the nearest piece of land. Just as I land and get up, he jumps over and makes it to the evac location.

When we make it to the rooftop, my handler seems very angry and I know what will come next. The very thought makes me shiver but I still do as he asks. I hold out my wrist and he places a bracelet. The familiar click of the lock tells me I can take the appendage back. He loads me onto the helicopter and drills into Barnes for mission details. After sometime, the same bracelet is put on him and he is loaded in. As I wait for my partner to come in, one question rings through my mind. Why did he call me Stark?

Suddenly, I feel the prick of a needle in my neck and I hiss a little from the pain. Wait...

Where am I?

Hi everyone!

Hoped you liked this glimpse into Erin's past. If you really like it, let me know since I have a few ideas similar to the one shown in this chapter. Here's a little challenge, if any one of you can tell me what Erin said in Russian, leave it in the comments or send it to me in a PM! If you're right, I will reveal a major plot point that will be happening later on in her story!
