✖We live in a dystopian young adult novel.
All the tropes and cliches that were mocked are our reality.
A world that's corrupted.
It's burning because of human mistakes.
Oppression is ever present.
The government doesn't give a shit.
Adults are in denial.
Teens are forced to grow up.
To teach.
To lead.
It's been written a thousand times over.
And yet, it's playing out the same.
Must there be so many causalities before it ends?
Must it take thousands of years to finally wash out all the pain?
Must we be so selfish?
Not caring about what happens to us or the people we care about.
Lack of empathy for people you do not know, for animals, for nature.
People can not even change for themselves.
What a disgusting tragedy.
Our legacy will be chaos.
Burning.
Oppression.
Ignorance.
Apathy.
There is nothing admirable or rememberable about the destruction.
