EXT. CATACOMBS–EVENING (FOGGY)

The catacombs have new signs in front of the entrance to warn people not to enter. VANESSA, DARCY, and NANCY all stand in front of the entrance. Darcy looks excited while Nancy looks nervous.

NANCY: It's really dark out, are you sure we should do this?

VANESSA: We don't have a choice. Le Mort is planning to rid of this place soon, so we need to go in there and open whatever is in there.

DARCY: Dude, do you think I'll get a cool mark?

VANESSA: Yeah. It'll turn into a new thing. You said you were mark of void right?

DARCY: Yep!

VANESSA: We should be all good then. The church was for the mark of goat, then the catacombs should be for the mark of void, and lastly the workshop is for mark of the machine.

DARCY: Sounds all good, lets go!

Vanessa marches forward and Darcy is about to follow her but is stopped by Nancy. Vanessa enters the catacombs alone, not realizing the other two didn't follow her.

NANCY CONT'D: You didn't tell me you were the mark of void.

DARCY: Well, you learn something new everyday.

NANCY: You didn't have an orb, though.

DARCY: I was able to get one later.

NANCY: When?

DARCY: Not too long ago.

NANCY: But Ambrose is in jail.

DARCY: I got it before he went to jail.

NANCY: You did?

VANESSA (shouts): Are you guys coming or what?

Darcy breaks away from Nancy's grasp and they both walk into the catacombs.

They enter the catacombs and run to Vanessa. Vanessa is standing over Alexander's tomb. She gives the two a disappointed look.

VANESSA CONT'D: We don't have much time. We need to run away if this place collapses.

NANCY: it really doesn't feel safe being here.

DARCY: The entrance isn't too far away at least.

NANCY: Still, if stuff falls on our heads, we're as good as dead.

VANESSA: Don't worry. I made a sacrifice to goat man today asking for protection.

NANCY: Did he respond?

VANESSA: Nope. Which means we might not be protected.

NANCY: I don't like this.

VANESSA: We have to go.

The three kids stare at the tomb and Vanessa pulls out the key from her necklace. She inserts the key into the hole and tries to turn it. Nothing happens.

VANESSA: That's weird.

DARCY: How about I try inserting the key?

VANESSA: But that's not what happened last time.

DARCY: Maybe the rules changed.

Darcy takes the key from the reluctant Vanessa and he tries to turn the key. The key doesn't budge, and he tries to turn it harder.

NANCY: Look, I don't think it's working.

Darcy takes out the key and jams into the keyhole with force. A loud crack echoes and Nancy is terrified.

NANCY: I don't think you trying to force the key will do any-

Light bursts from the tomb and Darcy's body hits the wall. Nancy screams in horror before running to him making sure he's okay. Vanessa is frozen in fear, unable to move as she watches the two.

NANCY CONT'D: We need to get him to a doctor!

Vanessa snaps out of it and she helps Nancy pick up Darcy. They start to exit the catacombs but Vanessa notice that words are appearing on the walls. The writing says, "FALSEHOOD ONLY SPAWNS JUDGEMENT."

VANESSA CONT'D: I don't think that's a good sign.

NANCY: We need to go, hurry!
