I get that the ending was probably unexpected for pretty much everyone, which is pretty much what I was going for. If it 'ruined your life' because of how I wrote it, this is my solution for you:
Get over it. It's F I C T I O N.
There is no such thing as two endings in my books. There will not be an alternate ending.
If you didn't like it, fine. That's what I was expecting from the majority of the audience anyway. Constructive criticism and opinions are welcomed, but telling me to write another ending because this ending hurt your feelings or whatever just comes across as plain rude and ungrateful for something I worked really hard on.
I completely understand it wasn't what a lot of people wanted, but I didn't have to write this book nor did any of you have to read it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I wrote it and I'm glad so many people are reading it. But I've already said before that the way some of your comments appear to me seem flat out rude. This is my book, and I say it's over. That means no other happy ending if that's something I don't want to write.
And if you must know, I got the idea for this from a comment somewhere back and changed it so Jungkook died instead of it just being him dreaming. I always do happy endings and I thought it would be a clever final twist for the end since I had so many 'gotcha' moments throughout the book. So this time it was for real.
Just so you know, this doesn't apply to everyone. Just the very small handful who deliberately told me to or said writing a different ending was the least I could do. Y'all know who you are. Y'all pissed me off a lot. Y'all shouldn't say that to authors, especially me. Cause y'all will get called out. This ain't to make y'all feel bad or some shit. This is to tell y'all this isn't okay. I don't think anyone would appreciate that written on their books when they already had their grand finale planned out and finished.
So that's it. I don't mean for this to seem like I am over sensitive or some shit. Just letting those who needed to read this, read this. That's all.
Also: take a shot everytime I said "y'all" (you will probably die from alcohol poisoning so maybe drink water🤡)

SPIN-OFF ANNOUNCEMENT
This was a pretty difficult decision to make, but I decided to make a spin-off of this book called 'Lone Wolf'. It is out now and is ongoing. The book is focused on Namjoon's and Yoongi's relationship. You don't need to read it if you don't want to, it's just extra things I wanted to include about the characters and their connection with each other.
