Sin | Sincere POV
Same Day....

"Damn was you in there shitting ? That was a long ass bathroom break." DJ said making Cierra agree. "Right."

"Shut up nigga. Nah but I had a run in with shorty from earlier." I said almost, almost smirking at the thought of her face. I need to chill.
"Who? The fine ass waitress? What happened? You get her number?" P said not giving me a chance to talk.

"Well nigga if you close that fucking overbite you would know." I said making Smoke start dying and P mug me. "Nah but this what happened...."
I started giving them the run down on what happened as I heard some. "Nigga fr?" "Word?" "What the fuck?"

"So where the nigga at now?" Smoke said getting serious. He might be a goofy nigga but when it come to this street shit and our enemies? He know that's nothing to play about.

"Nigga ran off after I beat his ass. Pussy ass nigga. I would've shot his stupid ass if we wasn't in this place right now." I said finna get mad all over again.
"Okay okay but did you get the digits tho?" DJ asked making P pay attention.

"Damn y'all nosy ass." I said mugging them. "But nah, I ain't get em she said she wasn't easy or whatever that mean. On some bullshit. She said she'll give it up the next time I see her."
P started laughing. "Ahhhh nigga ain't get her number. I bet if that was me I would get her fine ass's number. Did you at least get her name?" He said making me remember she get off right about now.

"Yeah her name Jayla." I said standing up so we could go. We didn't ride in the same cars so I was finna bounce by myself.
"Aight I'm outta here." I said dapping up everybody, giving Cierra a hug.

I walk outside and I see her standing at the bus stop right outside the diner. I scrunch my face up in confusion. She taking the bus? Hell nah. I was raised better than to let her get on the bus when I have a whole car, I don't know her situation but I wasn't finna let her get on that bus.

"Jayla!" She glanced back at me and looked away. "Jayla!" I started jogging towards her. She looked embarrassed.
"Why you taking the bus? You need a ride?" I asked once I caught up to her.

She finally looked up at me.
"Well it sure does look like it Sin, I'm at a bus stop. And no I don't take rides from stranger." She snapped at me.
My hand found the back of my neck, not knowing what to say.
"Can I take you home ? It's getting late, it's getting dangerous to be out here." I said.

"Why do you care ? You don't even know me. Take that nice ass Rolls Royce and prance yo ass outta here." She said, her voice fill of attitude.

I know she don't got an attitude and I'm offering her to ride in my shit. She better be lucky she fine, I never do shit like this.
"Come on Jayla, I'm offering you a ride." This the last time I'm asking her, I'm not finna sit and beg her to ride in my shit.
After a few seconds she sighed, "Okay, come on."

The Ride Home

I got in his car and looked out the window. I really didn't want him to take me home, not because I didn't like him but because I didn't want him to see where I lived.
I live deep in the hood, 15th street. The crackheads on the corner, dope dealing boys, prostitutes, bad ass kids outside. That type of hood. With this nice ass car, I know he got money.
This is the only place I could afford since my mom is strung out on drugs and left me and my sister to fend for ourselves, we lived in a nicer house in this neighborhood but we got evicted and I had to move me and my sister into 15th street apartments.

"You aight over there?" He said snapping me out my thoughts. I sent him a smile and went back to what I was doing.
"Look, I'm sorry about pissing you off, it wasn't right. Man what am I doing, I don't ever apologize." He said mumbling the last part.
"Well then don't." I said and left it at that.
We rode in silence the rest of the way there.

"Thanks for the ride." I said finna get out the car.
"Don't you touch that fucking door." He said and got out the car and jogged over to my side and opened the door.
I blushed a little, I never had anyone open a door for me.

"Thank you." I said once again.
"Yeah you welcome." He said then licked his lips. Lord help these sinful thoughts running through my mind.
"How about that number tho? You did technically see me again." I sighed, he was right.
"Fine. Give me your phone." He smirked and handed me his black iPhone XR. Damn I only have an iPhone 5. I thought as I put the number in. I saved it under Jayla☺️.
He walked me to the door, such a gentleman.

"Aight ima call you later babygirl, you better answer too." He said finna walk away.
"And if I say no?" I challenged.
"Do it and you gone find out." He said with a sly smirk and winked at me, and drove off leaving me in my thoughts.

Shrugging the unholy thoughts out my head, I turned to unlock the door. I stopped dead in my tracks as I seen the note taped to the door.

Notice of Eviction...

I didn't even notice the tears until I felt one hit my arm.
"What's wrong sis?" I heard my sister Laila say, she must be coming from her bestfriend Essence house.

When I didn't respond, she looked at the paper over my shoulder.
"What are we gonna do?" She asked.

I slid down the door trying my hardest to keep it together. This couldn't be happening. I could have sworn I paid the rent just 2 days ago, the landlord told me it was okay that it was paid late. So how come we're getting evicted?

Finally pulling it together, I rose to my feet. "I'll figure something out, we're staying here for tonight but we have to start packing tomorrow. We only got 3 days to get out of here." I said unlocking the door. I hung the keys on the hook by the door and headed down the hall to my room.

I got undressed and into the shower, letting the water and steam mix with my tears. I got out the shower 40 minutes later with my eyes bloodshot red. I sat in my bed, restless as I let my thoughts consume me. What am I gonna do?

I almost drifted to sleep when my phone started to ring.
An unknown number. I answered anyway.
"Hello?" I heard that deep smooth voice on the other side causing me to sit up straight.
