TODAY WAS A happy day. Glenn was awake. He wasn't moving yet, no, and he wasn't cleared yet, but he wasn't dead and he wasn't turned into a walker for Ella to find this morning after she woke up next to him with a huge smile on her face. To wake up next to his breathing body had been the greatest blessing ever. Since Ella wasn't sick, she probably should've been steering well away from him until he was cleared from the cell block but Ella didn't give a damn. Nobody would think to tell her to leave, let alone say it.

Ella caressed his cheek with a loving tone in her eyes. "You look like shit, Glenny." she chuckled, a smile spreading across her cheeks like she was some fool waiting for something that would never come.

Then he smiled. "I feel like shit," he rubbed his eyes. "After this, I could use a vacation," he dropped his hands. Ella laughed. "Get away. Just for a weekend." he smiled.

"Yeah, that sounds great." Ella laughed a bit more.

"You know, our friendaversary is coming up." he pointed out to her.

Ella raised an eyebrow at him. "How do you know that? We ain't got a calendar."

He smiled. "Well, one of these days."

Ella giggled at him. She looked at a picture hanging up of Mount Rushmore. "I never went to see the president's face. Have you ever gone?" she asked him.

He shook his head.

"I guess we'll need to take vacation there," she laid on his chest. "Tell all the walkers to 'go away we're not on duty you can't kill us'!" she joked.

"Let me go load up the oxe drawn carriage." he joked.

Ella cracked another smile and sat up. "Well, let me go get you some water, mister."

He groaned. "I can get it-"

"No, you need to rest." she pushed him back down on the bed cot.

He sighed.

With that, Ella left the cellblock to collect water outside.

ELLA HAD BEEN outside pumping after when the guard tower had been blown to piece's feet away front where she stood. She ran over to where the explosion happened, peeking through the fence as Maggie, Beth, Brandon, Carl and Bob joined her by peeking past the fence to see who the hell it was that blew their tower up. She saw a whole handful of cars sitting near the fence with lots of people and guns. Her heart sputtered a bit, her breathing growing heavy when she saw the face of the man who thought was either long dead or was long gone to not try to kill them anymore.
