Hwayoung
"Hey, Hwayoung," Jin whispered to me as everyone payed attention to the movie. "Are you okay? You seem distracted." He frowned.
"I'm okay Jin, really," I smiled tightly before I grabbed another slice of the room temperature pizza.
"Hwayoung-ie, I've known you for years. I know when something's bothering you." He gave me a knowing look.
My eyes unknowingly rested on Jimin. How the light illuminated from the screen highlighted his face. How his blonde hair was getting a bit long, to the point he had to continuously adjust it so he could see. How his mouth slightly parted as he invested himself in the movie.
"Does it have something to do with him?" He interrupted my thoughts.
"Uh- what?" I whispered as I glanced at Jin again.
He eyed Jimin carefully before turning back to me. "He hasn't really talked much since he got here," he muttered. "Is he bothering you?"
I could tell Jin was defensive over me. Namjoon, Yoongi and Jin have been best friends for years. Jin, being an only child, saw me as a little sister, so did Namjoon.
I guess, my brother's brothers are mine, too.
"No, I'm okay," I paused as I glanced at Jimin again, only to find him looking at me. Our eyes met but he quickly looked away again. "I just kind of wished we would've talked more today," I shrugged.
"Well, there is a movie playing," he grinned. "Usually people watch the movie instead of talk over it."
"Well aren't we the atypical pair," I pointed between Jin and I as I smiled up at him.
He nudged me slightly before reaching out for a slice of cheese pizza. "But, back to what I was saying. Are you sure you're alright?" Jin asked before biting down on his pizza.
"Yes, Jin," I playfully rolled my eyes. "I have pizza, everything's perfect." I grinned before taking a bite off my slice.
I turned back around and payed attention to the movie, instead of the heavy feeling in my chest when I thought of Jimin's icy glare earlier.
