The Galar region, a land full of opportunity.. Mysterious creatures known as Pokémon are abundant in this region, and many of the people live in peace and harmony with them. Pokémon battles here are were second to none, not even a good football match.

Every year, Galar hosts a region-wide sporting event known as the Gym Challenge. People from all over the region would travel across the land to learn to train Pokémon in the art of combat in the hopes of rising through the ranks by defeating the eight gym leaders and becoming the Regional Champion.

For over a decade now, only one Trainer has managed to hold the title of Champion ever since he first earned it at the tender age of ten- a young man by the name of Leon Keown. Ever since Leon became the Champion, Gym Challengers have worked tirelessly year after year to dethrone him. But no matter how powerful they got, they all failed to stand up against his royal might. Unlike any other champion, his strength and battle prowess was unparalleled by no other Champion in all of Galar's history.

It's due to this he was dubbed things such as the Unbeatable Leon, the King of Battles and Pokemon.

To all of Galar, the thought of the unbeatable King being defeated was unheard of. Not even his greatest rival, the second strongest in all of Galar, could dent his impeccable record. No one ever thought Leon could ever be dethroned...until...

Every Adventure requires a first step

It was a warm, spring day in the sleepy farming town of Postwick ; Rookidee and Pidove flew over head, the distant sounds of Wooloo and Dubwool bleating filled the air, as Skwovet and Greedant chattering as they attempted to steal berries and vegetables from fields without detection. Fields of farm goods went on for miles and greenery as far as the eye can see, from just grass to flourishing gardens of flowers and a variety of vegetation.

Overall, a fairly average noon in the little farmer hamlet.

Our story leads us to a quaint little cottage on a sloped hill, surrounded by a stone fence. It was quite a lovely little place indeed, with vines and plant life all over the place, being it's backyard led to the woodlands flanking the lower half of the hamlet.

It was here that our story will truly begin..

A young girl sat her desk in silence, amber eyes narrowed in deep concentration as she scrutinized over something on her laptop screen while in one hand she jotted down notes in a noticeably worn notebook, doing some research. Occasionally, her eyes would drift to a small orange device on a nearby stand, quietly observing the battle taking place on screen.

"Alright, Charizard, let's finish this! G-Max Wildfire!"

Gloria Rey Tate, fourteen years as of last fall, gave a small smile as the Champion's partner's signature attack made its mark against the opposing Duraludon, the steel and dragon type giving a loud screech as it shrunk to unconsciousness, signifying Leon's victory.

' And there he goes again...' She thought with a tinge of fondness, rolling her eyes slightly as Leon gave his famous ( and dorky, at least in her eyes) Charizard Pose while Charizard gave a victorious roar, the stadium filled with cheers and jubilation. ' I still can't how many hours did he put into perfecting that dumb thing..'

Shaking her head lightly, she turned back to her work when all of the sudden, her bedroom door barged open, causing the girl to let out a yelp in surprise before she whirled around in her chair to see a familiar grinning figure standing at her doorway with a fluffy white sheep like Pokémon at his feet.

This happened to be her best friend since as long as she could remember and kid brother of the champ himself, Hop Keown ,and with him as always, was his partner Pokémon, Ace the Wooloo.
