THAT SAME CRESCENT night when the moon was waxing and Ella laid sleeping in a heap full of dirt, her body twinkling like the vampires did in those Twilight books. Ella never found peace like she wanted to with Glenn's absence, but she had found peace with the night. Daryl sought out Ella in the woods for he and the other two waiting back there were worried something bad happened to her. Thankfully, nothing did. about an hour of searching, he carried her sleeping self back to the cabin and laid her down inside of it to allow her to get some more sleep.

The cabin went up in flames about thirty minutes later, so Ella had been awoken minutes before the three set it on fire and flipped it off. Ella had certainly missed something while she was out. In the flames, Ella saw Daryl's past life going down in flames. It no longer existed. He was in a better place with Beth, Brandon and Ella. He would find no abuse here, only yelling from time to time, laughter and killing monsters. Not one person would be like his father, his mother, or even his brother. Daryl was safe with them.

Ever since that night, it grew tremendously cold. It took awhile to find another retail store to grab themselves some jackets. Ella adorned a magneta colored zip up jacket with some fur lining inside of it, fur lining she and Beth sewed in there to keep her warm from the cold, ever since they found the jackets in the retail store. Ella even found a new pair of pants and shoes, ones that weren't covered or splattered in blood.

Standing behind Daryl and Beth, Ella watched as he was teaching Beth how to shoot his crossbow. She glanced at Brandon staring at Beth with a small smile. Ella wondered what caused Beth to want to learn how to shoot crossbows. She wasn't against it but she did wonder why for Beth never really showed an interest in it until today.

Beth's finger hovered over the trigger, her eyes squinting to aim down the rabbit just right. "Are we close?" she questioned Daryl, her arms growing tired from holding the crossbow.

"Almost done. We're almost there." Daryl told her as he hovered over her shoulders, eye narrowing down whatever was out there. Daryl was one true hunter.

"How do you know?"

"The signs are all there. You just have to read 'em."

Beth inhaled deeply. She lowered the crossbow and walked a few steps in front of herself. Ella closely watched her, following her same steps. "What-what are we tracking?" she asked. She didn't even know what she was actually waiting for. She only knew it was some animal they were waiting for.

Daryl laughed. He looked back at Ella and Brandon for earlier he set up traps while everyone was sleeping so if Beth didn't shoot it, there would more than likely be something in said trap. "Well, you tell me. You're the one who wanted to learn."

"Just look for something white." Ella laughed at her. They all saw the rabbit not too long ago. If they found something bigger like a deer, then that was a score and they were going to be eating good tonight. Brandon smiled.
