"You're going to prom." Jungkook stated.
"Yes! Isn't it exciting!"
"With who?"
Taehyung pinched his side as Jungkook yelped.
"Don't be a party pooper."
"I need to know, Tae. Just in case."

"I'm going with Park Jisung. Remember, dad? My friend since the first grade!"
"When did you get so old? Where's my baby that wanted happy meals not prom!"
"Daaad!" She groaned as she sat down on the couch.

"When is this prom?"
"In a few weeks, so TaeTae, we have to get a dress!"
"Of course! What color were you thinking?"
"You're agreeing to this?" Jungkook looked at Taehyung as if he just witnessed the worst anime betrayal.

"What? This is an important part of her life! I never went to prom before, Kook. Atleast you got to go."
"How did you know?"
"I saw the pictures in the box in the closet with Violet's baby pictures."
"Oh."
"Exactly, Kook. I want to atleast help her prepare! I mean, you've never taken me to a dance before."
"Hey,—"
"I'm joking,—" Taehyung smiled before kissing Jungkook's nose.

"Come, princess. We're going shopping."
Violet squealed before she ran to put her shoes on.

"I don't want her to grow up."
"She has to, Kook. When we're gone, who's going to take care of her?"
"I'll always be here for her. You'll always be here."
"That's inevitable, Kook. You know that. You just have to accept it."
Jungkook sighed as Violet came back.

The two were on their way out until,—
"Wait."
With another sigh, Jungkook reached for his wallet and gave Violet his card.
"Go crazy."

She squealed before hugging her dad.
"Thank you! I love you!"
"Love you too, squirt."

"You will bring her back at 10 pm. Without a scratch and a single tear in her eye. Keep a 5 foot dist—" Jungkook said to a cowering Jisung who was trying his best to not look like a wimp infront of his date's dad.

"Kook." Taehyung interrupted.
"What?"
Taehyung shook his head before smiling at Violet who looked absolutely beautiful.
"Have fun, sweetie. You too, Jisung."
"Thank you, Mr.Jeon. I will take care of her."
"You better." Jungkook sneered.

Violet pouted but nonetheless have her dads a loving kiss before leaving with Jisung.

Jungkook collapsed on the couch with a loud sigh.
"I know, Kook. But she'll always be your little girl."
"Just not so little anymore." Jungkook pulled Taehyung down and wrapped his arms around him.

"We're in our thirties, Tae. I can't believe it. You're so old."
Taehyung hit his chest as a deep chuckle resonated in Jungkook's chest.
"You're four years older than me, idiot."
Jungkook sighed.

"I love you, Taehyung. Let's go out on a date."
"A date? We're married."
"So?"
Taehyung smiled before getting up.
"Let's go."
"Aren't you going to change?" Jungkook asked.
Taehyung shrugged. "I dont really care about fashion all that much anymore."
"Say that to the billions of Gucci in your closet."
Taehyung rolled his eyes before heading out. Jungkook chuckled.

The two are at the ramen restaurant they had their second date at over a decade ago.
The restaurant was renovated, bigger and thriving with even more customers. But even though the place changed, the food was still just as good. The old lady recognized them as the couple in her restaurant many nights ago.

She gave them the same dessert for free as the two thanked her.

"You haven't made your special soup in a long time."
"It's not special, Kook. I got that recipe online."
"So?"
"I'll make it tomorrow then."
Jungkook smiled and pulled Taheyung closer.

"Is...Is that—Maddie?"
Jungkook looked in Taehyung direction and sure enough, it was Maddie. Just older but Maddie.

"Yea."
Taehyung smiled. "She looks happy."
Jungkook reciprocated. "She does. I'm glad she found someone."

The brown haired girl walked on the other side of the street, leaving the couple unnoticed. Her arm wrapped around a man's with a large smile on her lips.

Taehyung turned to Jungkook.
"I'm glad I have you."
"I'm glad I have you too." Jungkook whispered before kissing his husband's lips.

Not knowing it might've been the last time that he would.
