Selfish Love

You ask for me when you need me.
When you don't need me you discard me like a used tissue.
You show love for me with hidden intentions.
And like the fool I am, fall for your actions.

I know you don't care for me,
I know you aren't there for me.
But I still go back to you,
Even if you belittle me.

You come to me when everyone leaves your side,
Why am I always your second choice?
I don't know what I did wrong,
Your dislike for me seems so strong.

But now I realised, you're nothing to me.
And I shouldn't care about what you think.
I should forget you like you forgot me.
I don't need this selfish love.

Now whenever you'll need someone, I'll not be there.
Whenever you're in need, I'll not help.
Then you'll realise the value of this person, whom you called a disgrace.
